hey guys, im sure some of you have seen the thread for the gen 1 and 2 69mm TB group buy, I was thinking, since this guy gave such a good price im sure he do the v8 tb for almost the same price if you guys wanted to get in on this as well. I don't wanna leave out the V8 cars which is what seems to always happen;) Hed have to make a separate jig but im sure it couldn't cost much more then 60 bucks shipped back to you like the gen 1 and 2's are. Does anyone know how big the stock V8 TB is, and how far it can be bored out safely? Also if there is even any reason to do it on the v8 cars.:thumb:

So theres one guy who says it can be bored safely, is there anyone else that can back that up? Also I assume it is a 65mm TB as well just like the V6 cars?

No, it's about 70mm, and it makes a 90* turn.

Waste of time tinkering with it...

well I don't have a V8 intake or know where to get one, but if I did I could bring it to him, they're the guys, its their job to do this kinda stuff, ill say i need this, but bigger, and see what he says  Anyone got an old pos V8 intake laying around that wants to donate to science?

Actually my buddy MIGHT have one, ill see if hes going to be using it, hes got a cam failure car but I dunno what hes doin with it.

There's no room with the current configuration to just "make it larger". What's needed is a completely different intake setup using mandrel-bent exhaust tubing IMHO.

EDIT: However, if you want your guys to look at one I have a complete spare V8 intake setup.
