In checking on parts availbility, I discovered that **** has increased pricing on most of their [few] OEM spare parts that are still available for the Gen I/IIs. The most significant increase I've come across, is for the Intake Air Temperature sensor, which increased from a Dealer list of $48.22 to $78.36 in the last week - a 62.5-percent increase.

While most of the increases I've found are in the 10- to 15-percent range, quite a few are pushing 20-percent, with the above example being the most extreme.

I began noticing similar trends at every aftermarket parts stores, including Advance Auto, AutoZone, Car Quest, NAPA, and O'Reillys' - starting in October. Given that some resell **** OEM spare parts, it's likely that ****'s price increases will begin reverberating through these secondary channels over the next few weeks.

The point here is, if you've been putting off buying spare parts in anticipation of doing a 60K or other required maintenance, you might consider purchasing must-have components now instead of waiting until the last minute. Many here do their major maintenance/upgrades during the late-winter and early spring, once the Christmas shock has passed :oogle:

can you computer not bring itself to type Ford????lol. you may want to recheck as the IAT sensor listed in the Ford catlog is incorrect for most of the years. according to my system, the correct IAT sensor for my 2 '93s increased .70 at the 1st of the year....

catalog show the f32z-c, but mine has the old trie and true, like the '90 and before, F2DZ-12A697-A.... i dont think ive ever sold a f32z-12a697-c. plus the f32z-c is obsolete according to Ford.........most all vehicles took the E1AZ which was replaced by the F2DZ. the F32z is a probe # which comes up shown used in, of course, probes, escorts/tracers with the mazda 1.8 engine. best way to check is use the engineering # off the old one.....

. . . . which was F32F--AA

. . . and the one in my '95 3.0L SE is an F2DF--AA, which crosses to the F2DZ--A

Based on the calibration code for the 3.0L SHO (for which there is only one), the database shows two of the four possible IATs match that calibration code - the E7AZ--A and F32Z--C sensors.

If this is an error in the database, do you have a TSB or service note that documets the error as well as the correct sensor? All I need is a **** document number.

As far as I know the only difference in all the IATs from 89 to 99 is the plug. If it fits then it will work.
