Alright guys, I just moved back after two years in Arizona and I need my car to pass inspection. The deal is that I have dark tint (5% rear three, 15% front two) and I'm hoping someone knows of a place that can.. see around that.

PM me about a place you know of. Thanks!!!! :hail:

Tell the shop you're a PI and that you have the tint for your job and that it's OK for PI's to have tint like that. I used to have to tell shops that on my old Grand Marquis because it was true. They always just gave me the sticker after I told them some funny PI stories.

Wow, this thread exploded on me. PI = Private Investigator right? Just incase they ask. ;) I don't think it'll work since I'm only 20 and it's a maxima instead of a big ford sedan. lol. I'll get in contact with Kirk too, hopefully he can help an ex-sho owner out. Since Massachusetts is the only state Geico doesn't insure, I had to insure it with another company, therefor get it registered and inspected in Mass. In all honestly, the 5% is too dark for around here due to all the shade and lack of light. In AZ, there were lots of open spaces and lots of light, so I could see out ok. In the future I'd do 15% or 20% all the way around.

Any other ideas let me know.

A friend of mine is a PI, he drives a 4-runner... before that, he had a late model Saturn... SO as long as they dont ask for proof, the PI thing has nothing to do with what car you're driving... the purpose of a PI is to NOT be driving something that resembles a police car, lol... Good Luck in your search!

Haha, thanks for the tip Kevin. The only PI I ever knew of drove an 04 Taurus, so I thought they DID resemble cop cars haha. I guess that his attempt was just pathetic. I think that guy is over in Iraq as a private contractor now anyways... If I don't hear anything soon from the people I've been talking to, I might have to try this PI thing. Proof? Pff I don't have to give them proof ;)
