What replacement doors can I use

If I want to replace my two front doors. Do they have to come off a sho or will a slo or sable work. Also will only gen II work.

If I take them off a slow assume I will pull the molding off my sho doors and attach it to the new doors.

That's correct. Any Gen II SLO door will work, you just use the molding off of your SHO doors. Gen I doors will NOT work, they don't line up correctly!

Actually 1st gen doors will work just fine. You just have to transfer a few more things over to get everything to bolt back up. 2nd gen Sable doors will work also, but not 1st gen Sable doors (they don't have the belt line crease)

Will I have to transfer over the door intereir stuff as well?

Only if the donor car was not equipped the same level of trim and accessories, most likely.

Hoorah for bringing threads back from the dead.

I'm picking up an '89 next week. It has a broken front p/s window, and I can get a door from the pick'n'pull for $40. My question is, do gen2 doors work on a gen1? The info above doesn't quite make it clear.

I don't care if body lines match or any of that, as the door on the car is in beautiful shape, sans window. I just need a weatherproof temporary fix because the car will sit outside for 3 weeks before I have a chance to put any time into it.
