So, why did this guy have your SHO in the fiirst place? Did you take your SHO to this "guy" simply to have the oil changed? Was this at a shop or quick-change type oil franchise? Regardless, I'd be calling the owner/manager to raise-****.

I just purchased this car, didnt bring it in to change oil, I never let people touch my cars:cool:

Smoking (due to water/antifreeze ingestition) is only going to be present if the head gasket is leaking into one or more cylinders - and then usually only after a period of time when the leak has become excessive. If the leak is between a water and oil passage, then you'll find water/antifreeze in the oil (usually the first indication) and oil in the radiator fluid (oil drawn through the gasket break during cool-down; requires a number of hot/cold cycles). And it is possible for the head gasket leak to result in both - leaking into one or more cylinders, as well as a between a water and oil passage.

You drove this 20 minutes? Did you not get an " [ OIL ] " light?

no, no lights or problems what so ever.

Did you get *any* oil while draining it? Did you actually measure how much fluid did come out? Why did you *not* turn the engine over with the DIS disconnected to flush any remaining antifreeze from the passages and bearings, as well as build oil pressure - before starting it? I don't understand the rush here, given the potential damage that may have occurred during the initial drive, and the uncertainty as to what is still inside the engine. And why "rev" it?

there was oil but it was pretty much mixed in with green, it was kinda oily antifreeze.:oogle: I didnt do that because I forgot to and the rush is its due for inspection this month and I need a car asap.

And what do you mean by, " . . . . and this sucker still smokes like a chimney, . . . . "?

the oil smoke thats burning off the cat is crazy lol

Is the smoke coming off the rear converter? Are you sure it's due to an oil leak, and not a bad CV boot or water pump leak onto the y-pipe or converter?

yeah its a cam seal, that was checked by a mechanic when he owned it and by me when looked at the car at his house, its burning off the cat.

well I just changed the oil again, and a ton more green "oil" came out. I had a pressure test done and it came back ok, so I think this guy put it in the oil fil. However after all this I think that antifreeze prolly ate the **** outta the bearings, so im really not sure what I want to do now. Im thinking about just taking this engine out and putting in an 87k mile on from my local yard, but there is no guarantee that works either. I mean i can turn it over but who knows what kinda shape its in. I can only guess the car is there because of a blown trans.

Just my $0.02 When I pulled my heads off my old motor, at 181k miles, the rear head was definately darker than the front. Granted I never had a leak, but those rear heads must get a little bit warmer or something I don't know.

they do as there is no air flowing over them and they are crammed in a smaller space, thats why the tensioners god bad on the rear head first usually. I think I have come to a conclusion now, after I change my oil tomorrow morning again, im putting in some castrol high mileage with a new filter, and im gunna run the thing until it starts knocking or blows up. Im not a fan of doing that but I don't have the money to spend changing the antifreeze damaged bearings. Im going to jsut go pull this 87k mile engine from a junkyard and when this one blows ill swap it in. I can get it for nothing after i sell extra parts like the alternator and such as thats included with an engine pull:cool:

well drained the oil and changed the filter again, it came out MUCH cleaner this time and the puddle of antifreeze in the head is gone now. Im pretty sure the guy put antifreeze in the oil fill, ill just have to keep an eye on it though. Its filled with castrol highmilage oil now so its got some good stuff:cool:

well it might be to late since i drove the car home like that, the bearings might be toast. And im not changing rod and main bearings. I can see through the oil fill and this guy didn't take care of this car for sure so its not even worth it since i can get another engine so cheap, so im gunna run it and hope for the best. There is no knock or anythign the thing runs great, so well see what happens, you guys will know when the engine goes shoboom.
