1999 Gen III
I am looking forward to getting lots of info from everyone on this website. I just bought a black 1999 SHO with only 39,000 miles. I thought it would be impossible to get one with that low of miles. It was owned by a Ford mechanic in NJ who took great care of it and only used it back and forth for work. The only modification to it is a flowmaster exhaust. I got it for $6,000 which i think is a pretty good deal for that low of mileage. Any suggestions of what needs to be done to make sure that it will last me a good long time. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow.
Financial considerations forced me to sell by Red 97 recently and I'm still trying to get over it. Mine started out as a cam failed car w/117K miles on it. I replaced it with a 56K mile eng/trans and had the cams welded. I put approx 36K miles on it in just under 2 years and never had any major problems. Way nicer car than I expected having owned 2 other Gen II's previously. I predict you'll love yours for a long time to come. Hope you're never forced to sell it. Welcome to the forum - great bunch of guys here - support beyond compare.
