ok so today i changed my plugs and cleaned the intake. Well I wanted to do the TB bypass, im fairly confident that I did that properly, but I was in a hurry and there was a left over hose from the IAB so I just looped it from one side of the IAB to the other side. I don't think your suppose to do that? Well I started the car and it started bucking at idle and threw an the CEL came on so I got code 177 which I believe has to do with the O2 sensors, but I think this code is caused from what I did to the IAB? I guess I wanna know what hoses go that the IAB. I looked under their, but I couldnt find any unhooked hose.

im pretty sure I didnt mess up the lines. I looked at past forums to see how its done. Im just not sure what to do with the IAB lines. If I remember the hose routing, those too had coolant running through them. When I was cleaning the manifold, I might have got some intake cleaner in the valves because when I started the car, it smoked a little bit. Im jsut not sure what to do with the IAB lines? Not to mention why my CEL light is on. I double checked the vacuum lines and made sure everything was connected properly.

huh huh, you said "******".

The two IAB lines are just a circle around the little spacer plate there. If you route one side of the IAB thingy to the other, you make an O. You needed to loop from where the hose goes from the head to the IAB to where the hose goes from the TB back to the head.

Other than that, I'd suggest that you didn't mount the TB back up right, introducing unmetered air into the system. Or, you didn't hook up all the vac lines up right. Did you hook the MAF back up?

I kinda understand what your saying, but not really. Current My IAB hoses make a loop from one inlet to the other. Are you saying to connect one end of the IAB to the TB where the coolant line used to be and make a loop to the of the other side of the IAB, if so, this doesnt make any since. From what I remember the original design was a loop except it looped from the tstat pipe to the IAB, through the TB at to the other coolant inlet. So coolant was continuously flowing in the IAB line and TB line. On a side note, the CEL kinda stopped coming on. It comes on occasion. I seafoamed my car a couple of weeks ago and I think between dping that and a little of intake juice sitting in the valves caused an O2 sensor to fail. Probably about time to change them anyways since I never have. I'm still confused on the IAB issue though. Currently my IAB lines make a loop from one inlet to the other and my TB is completely bipassed and there are no coolant lines connected to it at all, and theres the coolant line bipass that runs from the tstat tube to a letter below it. Is this wrong? Can someone please clarify for me!?!?!??

If you have no coolant running through the TB, then you did the bypass correctly. Whatever you do with those left over hoses doesn't really matter. I for one took them out - less mess in that area. You can loop them, you can take them out, or you can just let them sit there. As of now they serve no purpose and you don't need to worry about them.

thanks, thats what I figured. Now I have to replace the 02 sensors. I now realize that seafoam can clog O2 sensors very fast when used through the vac lines. I probably should replace that stock y pipe too.
