So I'm a complete *******, and greased my ball joint before installing the control arm. So naturally, when I installed the ball joint into the spindle, the boot popped....

Does anyone know where I can find a new boot, or even a generic replacement? It'd suck to be out $75 because of a boot.

There is a self fusing electrical tape that when wrapped around and stretched it will seal and self-vulcanize.

Look for underground weather proofing splice tape

ARRRRR....

Might want to cover it with some durable electrical tape such as 3M 33+

Put the regular tape over the mastic stuff so it won't oxidize.
