I received an email from Chris yesterday evening. I assume he was planning on posting this in this section, however because I had limited his ability to post he was unable to do so.

So here's the email for you all to read and comment on if you choose to. I will be reinstating his privileges for this section so he can respond directly to any comments made. I do not care to be the middle-man in regards to this and only he can answer questions or respond to comments made. I did feel it important to post the email that he had sent me.

On with the email........

---------------------------------------------------------------------

This email was supposed to be a post so if you you want to post this in the
open forum it is fine with me.

I sincerly appologize to everyone who i have hurt in the past with
uncompleted transactions. At this point i think i have reinbursed everyone
who didn't get a part or who wasn't pleased with the item, and if i haven't
please email me at [email protected]. BittersweetSHO has been shut
down, but i am far from down and out of the SHO game. I have a few new
websites in the works, and am in the process of helping to build a turbo car
for someone in texas. I had a very bad year, and things just got out of
control. I not only ruined the trust of SHO owners but that of SHO owners
who were friends. To all of them i am sorry, and i hope to hold a drag day
at the end of the summer at lebanon valley in NY on me. I feel that is the
least i can do. Keep the SHOs on the road and thank you bizzy for the
SHOforum. The SHOforum got me started on SHOs, and without bizzy and the
moderators this place would not exist.

For the record, he never payed me the money he rightfully owes me. He knows it, and I havent forgot about it completely. Ive thought about it, and it really ****** me off. I always hooked Chris up. I already feel like Ive been way too easy going about this.

So hopefully we can resolve this. My phone # has never changed.

I was one of the guys who didn't get parts, back in July of 06. I honestly don't know what was going on, but I still stand by the idea that Chris was not a scam artist. I just think he got himself into something he couldn't handle, financially, and maybe panicked. Even then I didn't think he was a scam artist, because at the very least he returned about 90% of my e-mails, even if he didn't send me a refund or my parts (when he said he would). Most scam artists just disappear off the face of the earth and you'll never hear from them again, so I don't think he was a scam artist. Even my lawyer admitted, "If he's still responding to you after 9 months, chances are good he's not trying to screw you, otherwise he would have high-tailed it long, long ago."

I sought legal action and had my lawyer contact him about 2 months ago. Chris begged me to not seek action and had to send me my refund in two chunks across the span of a month, because it was all he could afford from his job. He did not have the money I had originally sent him. I think Chris spent the money from his orders before he actually made parts, and when something came up that he couldn't make the parts, he was left with no money and no parts, and had to slowly pay back refunds from his own job.

Anyone in business should know that you don't spend your money until the order goes completely through, in case of a refund. I think Chris spent all of his money, got hammered with a fistful of refunds, and was unable to pay up.

I probably won't do business with him again, but I also don't hold a grudge. Even if it was almost a year later, I got my money back. It won't stop me from buying from other SHO vendors or sellers, and it doesn't stop me from wanting to buy ported intake runners that should have been on my car last summer. I'm still hoping to pick up some in the near future.

I'd give the guy a chance for being a "user" , but would'nt let him sell on here for a little while. Most people don't trust him anymore and he needs to re-build his reputation..

My 2 cents.

I agree with you which is why he's only allowed in the Hall section and this one. I don't hold a grudge either but he's got a lot of bridge rebuilding to do.

So I offer this to Chris. I believe that your email is sincere but because of the severity of what happened you're going to have to prove yourself to the community 1000 times over. Saying and doing are two different things. Make things right with everyone who is due money or parts and we'll go from there. Obviously there were a few left out. Until everyone is satisfied with a refund or parts, we're still at the same road block as before.

Yea I think it would be a fair decision as well :thumb:

left out...

I'm still owed about $45 for an ATX front mount I sent him and a reinforced set
of mounts for my wagon. I think I still owe him one more set of cores.... No hard feelings if we get squared away.

takes alot to admit your wrong, hope it all works out with everyone. I don't know the situation all that well either, but know what it takes to own up to your mistakes. Best of luck.

I am much less forgiving than most. There is no excuse, don't spend the money and sell other parts to try to make the money to take care of the past orders you did not fill. I was not screwed by powderpuffpinkSHO, but enough of my friends were to leave a NASTY taste in my mouth for Chris Davey. Maybe he should concentrate on refunding people their money or getting them their parts instead of creating new sites and helping someone build a turbo sho.

Chris you REALLY need to contact Jay. As he said his number is the same, you overly screwed this guy and I am surprised he has been kind enough not to take major action against you.

Some people deserve a second chance, right Cerberus? ;)

wow! people on this site are some of the nicest and most forgiving people i've ever seen on the web. it's kind of refreshing to see someone screw up and make a valiant attempt at rectifying it, AND actually be allowed to do so. nice.

Well, an email alone isn't going to speak the 1000 words that need to be spoken. His actions from this point forward will speak those words for him.

I'm a firm believer in 2nd chances, even 3rd and 4th, to the dismay of some people I might add. But I've screwed up in my life in the past so I know how it feels to be given another chance. Granted, I've never screwed up to this extent. The biggest thing is to take that chance and prove that you were worthy of it to begin with.

need i say that the proper way to concentrate on paying debts is to concentrate on making money any legal way u can ?

this includes creating a website for profit, and doing automotive repairs / mods for profit

LOL that dude just VANSISHED one day. I think he was banned AND all of his messages deleted?

I was starting to think I was the only one that noticed he was gone.

As for Bittersweet...I never had any dealings with him But I would advise him to be careful what he promises people. Most mix ups like this start by trying to provide more than you realistically can.

It doesn't really matter at this point as I'm not one to hold a grudge. Just for the record though, his posts are still there, you just can't see them. :p
