Uhmmm..... No, that's not correct. All the rear calipers has steel or aluminum pistons. That's the only way the e-brake could work. No way would a phenolic piston take a threaded actuator.
The '89 SHO's had tapered roller bearings and did not have ABS and as a result, they had a slightly different offset in the rotor. Actually, you could use front rotors on the back of an '89 (with a little creative shimming of the caliper bracket). So these are not a direct bolt-on for an '89.
