I am the owner of a 2015 Ford Taurus SHO, both of my mufflers on the back end are starting to leak exhaust where they are welded together. Obviously the metal is starting to split and I can see the exhaust leaking out the side of the inside of the muffler. Rusting out is the culprit. Car has gotten a smidge louder when the car is started as the exhaust is allowing sound out now. Car has 106,000 miles. At this point should I put new mufflers on it, is it a major concern to keep driving it as is or should I do something different like glass packs. I can pay the money to do anything I am just not sure the best route here. Any and all opinions would help.

if you are doing mufflers alone, you can get the the ones I have without baffling, BUT without baffling it will sound similar to what you have now'ish. if you are looking for less noise then get a single baffle design. if you like the japanese sounding cars the Crosa are perfect, not my taste. I have Magnaflow performance mufflers with straight thru exhaust no back pressure.

All in all you want this to sound like some 8 cylinder muscle car, NEVER gonna happen.... I have links to mine in YT https://www.youtube.com/@kryptto69 a 6 cylinder will never have a throaty growl.. and with turbos acting like a fart fan midstream of the exhaust - it will always be a weird experience that introduces some drone.
