I'm currently replacing the A/C system on my newly acquired White 89. The previous owner lied to me about the quality of the system and I found out that the compressor is pretty much junk. So, I'm pulling everything off to repair or replace. I was able to find all NOS parts online and thru work. All of the Orings in the A/C system are pretty much generic A/C rated Orings except for the Manifolds. The Manifolds that i bought came with the correct Orings but the Compressor that I bought did not. The Manifold Orings are round in diameter but they are oval in shape. They are taller than they are thick. After pulling everything off and examining the parts, I've decided to reuse the Manifolds off the car and save the ones that I bought for my 91s engine dress up coming next summer. Since the Compressor didnt come with the correct Orings I now needed to source some correct ones. I didnt want to risk prying the ones out of the new Manifolds and possibly damage them. After searching the forum, I couldnt find any information or part numbers about these particular Orings so I did some detective work and found what I needed. I was able to get them at my local Oreillys but only after I did all the work. These will not pop up in any database, Oreillys, Advanced, Rockauto, etc.... They dont even come up in the Ford system at work. Here is what I found.

The original Ford Manifold Orings are red in color and measure
.745" inner diameter
.108" wall thickness (laying flat)
.139" height (laying flat)

Ford #390697-S
Motorcraft #YF-1475

UAC #0116G-10 (green)
4 Seasons and Murray #24621 (green)

The Murray Orings are the ones that I found at Oreillys. Not cheap either. Cost me just under $10 for 4 with my discount. They are a very good fit though and I dont have any concerns about using them. I hope this information can help someone else down the road.

Adding more info here. Will change the title to reflect it.

My reman Compressor didn't come with a Clutch and therefore didn't come with any Shims for the Clutch. The junk Compressor coming off the car has a brand new clutch on it but the previous owner probably didn't know you had to gap it. It doesn't have any Shims on it either. After doing some digging at work I found the proper part numbers for the SHO specific Shims.

Nippondenso 10P15F Compressor Shims

Ford #E9VY-19D648-A
Motorcraft #YF-1658-A

You will not find this info anywhere online. It doesn't even come up at Ford when searching at SHO specific parts. I had to dig deep into the catalogs. It appears you can still find them (I did) but they are long obsolete.

Great find. Nobody would be able to do this without the correct materials and the drive to comb through it.

Great info! I used some generic 0-rings when I put my new compressor in, but they leak ever so slightly (I was down to about 1/2 charge after 2 summers). I'll have to get these and put it on my to do list for next summer!

I found out they make nylon or plastic pick tools for getting o rings out of aluminum manifolds and off hoses.

Thanks for this info. Ive gotten the wrong o rings with a compressor and used generic hnbr o rings that i found out couldn't stand the heat. Apparently you neet a hnbr kit thats labeled for a/c.

I thought there was a complete list of all orings?

I thought there was only one condenser, but this 91 I have has a larger finned condenser and I believe a different capacity compared to a '92 even though both are R12.

I had an issue when I replaced my 89's condenser. Mid-Gen 1, I think 91; they went with smaller ones. I wound up with one too small and had to re-order under a different part number.
