Yeah, right. Had a buddy with a leased challenger r/t and about 6 months in he was getting his engine serviced, light came on and was having throttle issues. Knew a mother with a lease, had to take it to dealership for check engine, tire pressure and one of the seatbelts stopped locking in. To be fair, Dodge isn't the only one with issues. But the amount of times I've heard from others about their problems from dodge it seems like a matter of when, not if. I'm torn about Dodge as a whole. They make good looking trucks and cars, especially the new 2019+ ram. The interior is great. Hellcat is a badass car. But once you get past the "Oooo" factor everything seems to fall apart. It's like biting into a chocolate chip cookie only to find out it's oatmeal raisin. Bleh

Wanted to add more biased clarification to why I bash dodge so much. All but 2 of the gas rams had major engine issues from broken cams, oil pumps, blown engines, fueling issues, cracked blocks, cracked heads, to bent rods. Also suffered transmission issues, 4wd issues, electrical issues, and steering issues.
6 guys I work with also have challengers or chargers and frequent the dealership for repairs. They also are slower than my truck even though they are modded as well. If that's biased then I admit I am.

But you can't deny it...those challengers are beautiful. If only they made them with either an LS1 T56 combo, or a coyote a10 combo, lol.

Same as always, I’ll keep a Yamaha powered SHO (or 3) in my garage.

I am growing more and more interested in the car Ford most recently orphaned, the GT350. Since most of the components carry on in other models, the only truly unique aspect will be the engine, and there’s sure to be support for that for many years to come. I retire in less than 5 years, which will line up perfectly for picking up a low mile 2020 GT350 as a retirement gift to myself.

my second choice would be an old school ride (65 fastback or something, maybe talk my brother into selling me his HIPOPO notchback) with the aluminator in it. But the flat plane crank in the Voodoo just makes it special.

Ford gave up on cars seemingly a few years back. The D3 platform, the latest Taurus was built on, started back in 2005. They in particular gave up on the SHO in 2013 with no significant change since. Not one additional horsepower added in the entire 9 year run. Same engine in the F150 yet they still branded the Taurus as "Super High Output" They never shed one pound off the car either. I have had 3 Taurus' 2011,2015 Limited nd my current SHO. 11 total Fords.........So what's next? Although I won't need a replacement for 2 more years, it won't be an SUV, prolly find a low mileage 2019 SHO and ride it out until Ford brings back sedans. Something tells me with the newly elected administration that the price of gas will climb steadily thus bringing back the sedans. Can't even fathom not driving a Ford so I don't have an alternative!
