Really? Any thread you could point me to?I only know of one person to try those and he had to replace his turbos again within a couple thousand miles, that's why I did not mention them.

I just looked at those. The are smaller and about $1000 more expensive than a set of ATPs...not sure why anybody would go that route.CR Performance now offers turbo upgrades as well!

Yeah, but comparing apples to apples, if you didn't want to send your turbos in, you're spending almost $3500, plus another $500 for the core charge. That's almost $4000.if you send your turbos to them in Canada they are only $1300. I'm not sure where the $4500 option it lists comes from, I can't find any product configuration that meets that price point.
But as far as I know the customer sent them back, they found a faulty CHRA pack and sent it back to him and they are running fine now.
ATP will not build the turbos without cores anymore. The CR are also only a machined compressor housing and matching compressor wheel with no turbine housing modifications.Yeah, but comparing apples to apples, if you didn't want to send your turbos in, you're spending almost $3500, plus another $500 for the core charge. ATPs are about $2500 with an $800 core if you wanted to do the same, only totaling about $3300. Ok, not $1000 more, but still a lot more cost for a lot less turbo.
But after you send your cores back and get your core charge back, you're back to the roughly $1000 difference.
Hmmm interesting. I bought my ATPs, then sent them my cores when I did the install. And it's still listed as such on their website. Maybe they made that change recently.ATP will not build the turbos without cores anymore. When I was trying to get a set of ATP a while back before I had even tried the gen 3 gearhead turbos I had already paid for them and they wouldn't do it unless I sent in my cores. Basically tied up my money for a month then I went gearhead turbos and loved those. However, CR I know makes great products for other platforms but they left a bad taste in my mouth after they made some outrageous claims on their stock compressor wheel replacements which are exactly as efficient as stock ones. 4-8 psi over stock was the claim and boom same taper. I will say though the CR upgraded turbos went 11.6 full weight in the quarter making some pretty hefty steam and just like all the other upgraded turbos seem efficient enough to yeet the stock motorHmmm interesting. But on top of the info you've just provided, I see even less value in the CR turbos. You're not getting much bang for your buck.
Stock Compressor: 36.3mm/49mm
Stage 3 CR Compressor: 40.6mm/52mm
ATP Compressor: 43.4mm/56mm
I will have to admit, they told me the exact same thing. I sent em in, had only 25K miles on them and they said they were cracked, sent me photos of the cracks and told me they see itnall the time on these stock turbosyep, we actually had a set in stock at our warehouse a few months back. Customer ordered them, paid the core charge, and now they are denying his refund because the housings are cracked. Had another customer who just sent his cores in to be converted and is being told they can't do anything because of cracks and shaft play.
I feel like I'm going to have to create a checklist (surprised they don't have one already) for things to check and verify before sending, because both customers spent $45 sending their turbos in and ATP wants $50 to ship them back to them or else they will scrap them.
I manufacture and sell front mount intercooler piping kits for the 2013+ Taurus SHO. It allows the customer to use either a Mishimoto J line intercooler or Treadstone TR8C, both of which can be had for $260 shipped online and are both good for 500awhp. We are currently running group buy pricing lower than the msrp on the company website. If your interested feel free to message me and I can assist in answering any additional questions you may have.Livernois that is. Just checked out ortiz and definitely going with the dual gauge a-pillar. Thanks
Now, do we know where I can score some nice intake and intercooler piping? Maybe a full cold air kit with intercooler piping and possibly some other then stock BoVs? All I'vefound are BoV spacer/adapter plates
Do you offer a set for the 2010-12 gen?I manufacture and sell front mount intercooler piping kits for the 2013+ Taurus SHO. My website is www.Schwartzep.com.
Iv worked with multiple 10-12 cars and sold kits to individuals that said they wanted to retrofit the front mount to those years. No one has gotten back with me to confirm but if you were interested I could work with you on a 2010-12 kit at a reduced price if you could help me verify and confirm fitmentDo you offer a set for the 2010-12 gen?

Definitely would be interested is there any preference to what intercooler that would be better? I was looking at the mishimoto j line. And would you recommend the epp hot pipes? Cause I’m running stock rn.Iv worked with multiple 10-12 cars and sold kits to individuals that said they wanted to retrofit the front mount to those years. I have stock “hotpipes” as well. I wouldn’t recommend getting the EPP they aren’t a necessity. I prefer the mishimoto j line as it is a better bang for the buck in my opinion. The tr8c treadstone might give you more grill and front bumper clearance but will be more expensive in the long run. Ultimately it’s up to you man and what you want with your build.Definitely would be interested is there any preference to what intercooler that would be better? I was looking at the mishimoto j line. Okay, But the noisemaker delete Is mandatory? And will I need a tune or revision to run it? Can you send me the directions for the kit you would be sending to get a idea at what i would be looking at for installation.I have stock “hotpipes” as well. Yes the noisemaker delete is required and no you do not need a tune revision if you are just tune and intercooler only. You could get a revision if you want to optimize the performance though but it isn’t required. The installation manual is for paying customers only though, as a lot of time and effort went into making the installation guide which I don’t want to just give away for free.Okay, But the noisemaker delete Is mandatory?
