I was always afraid to know on the last motor. Why I never sent off any samples. Lol, would be curious to see why the fuel contamination is there. Do you do a lot of short trip cold start traveling?

Actually no, probably 95% 35 mile work commute at highway speeds. I do warm a couple minutes though before takeoff. That is one thing that has me concerned though. Not to mention copper, rod bearing is what pops up in my head.

There is nothing to worry about in that report. 1% fuel is well under the 2% limit, so not a real issue. Copper at 14 is well below the universal averages for the motor of 18. The only thing is that it is trending up and hopefully it will not continue to go up, but you won't know that until the next test.

Was it a cold sample? Cold sample will show more fuel....they say it’s best to do a warm sample. I’ve got 3 test kits here and I’ll be taking a test sample of the current oil and send it in after my next oil change.

Hmm, didn’t think of that. They were all cold. I’ll get it warm for the next one and see what happens. It’s super interesting to see what they find and could give you a good heads up if a problem arises.

I concur. I’m interested to see my newest results to track just that...increase in metal or not/flash point and fuel dilution
