That's a common sign of a low coolant level. Verify that your coolant bottle is full and make sure the oil doesn't look milky.
And @ridered74 Thanks guys I checked my coolant level low and behold it was way below the min level.. bought some coolant and filled it to where it should be, and it isn’t getting “cool” at idle anymore. It’s not the maximum hot but I’ll know in the morning for sure when it’s colder outside, it’s hard to tell right now. Anyways thanks saves me a trip to the dealer etc

Overfill it a bit and make sure there are no air pockets and it should improve. Should get same temps at idle as you get driving it around. Also keep an eye on the level for the next few months. If it goes down that typically means you either have a leak or your water pump is getting ready to need replaced.

Checked it this morning and it was probably a half inch lower. Filled it back up. I let it idle for a little with the hood open and I was checking for leaks but didn't see any. There were probably a few air bubbles that came out yesterday. I'll keep an eye on the level, the heat did seem to be better today at idle

could be degassing and moving down a little but check your oil and make sure it's not crossing over
