Exactly 1 week into owning my SHO it’s already back at the dealer for service.. went to jump a coworker and took the cover off the positive terminal and the entire thing was corroded. Cleaned it up a bit and half of the terminal was corroded away, car would only start after that if I held it down to the battery.

I feel dumb for not taking the cover off and checking that when I bought the car, but whatever. Thankfully my bumper to bumper is still good until next May, they said it should be covered. Bad thing is I called 5 local dealers and earliest any of them can look at it is Tuesday -_-

Anyone else buy their SHO and have it in the shop quicker? Lol

Have had mine for just about two weeks now and so far I'm having no major issues that I could've easily missed checking it out. I do have a minor issue that would've been nearly impossible to tell on the test drive. The heat works and blows hot when i'm driving, but when i'm idle it blows cold air. It's a strange issue I've never seen or heard of before but hopefully will be an easy fix or under warranty if I have to take it in. Also I found out there was only one key with the car the day I was buying it. There's always small things you can miss on accident even if you ask a ton of questions or think you've checked everything out. At least it's covered and batteries aren't that pricey anyways. Good luck

Thanks man. Best part about it is I literally just replaced the positive terminal and put a new battery in my other car. Freakin 2020 lol. I see you are from metro Detroit as well, maybe we will see each other around. I’m in the Northville area.

My ‘16 also came with only 1 key. Apparently it costs extra to get two when new. But, if you look on Amazon there is a company that sells OEM replacement FOB’s for less than $20. Then just take it to the dealer and have them sync it to your car. I think I paid $35 for the sync.

That's actually pretty cheap to have another key fob sync'd. I'm around the Warren area but I'm always driving around so there's a good chance we might lol. Will have to look into that keyfob now. I wonder if there's a way to program it without taking it to a dealer.

Because it has to play nice with the anti theft system and if done wrong could lock you out, I’m not certain it’s worth the potential headaches.

True. I meant if Ford had a factory way of adding another key fob, wouldn’t want to rig it for those reasons exactly lol

That's a common sign of a low coolant level. Verify that your coolant bottle is full and make sure the oil doesn't look milky.

If the coolant is at the full line, overfill it a little bit and your issue should go away.

Got the SHO back today! Everything was covered under warranty thankfully. Had to drive my other car to work today so now I have both of my cars at my work lol. Oh well, made for a good photo op.

Here’s a screenshot of the group page. @Alex Staron make sure you join as well if you haven’t already! It’d be cool if we could all meet up before the winter comes.

I bought my 2015 PP on Friday July 3rd 2015. That evening at around 7:30 something let go and I lost the #6 cylinder. Less than 200 miles on the odometer
