I thinks some other guy didn't know when to stop jacking or how high is too high.

The rear cover. I actually already changed the fluids. Im giving it a 10k mile test run. So far mpg increased by 0.8 and seems smoother on take off and downshifting.

Why are you jacking the rear when your draining the diff? You should jack the front if anything

In order to get it out you gotta cut of that useless exhaust hangar or go up over the top of the sway bar and out the back, which make it a massive pain to put back in with RTV on it so i recommend you cut the hangar off

In order to get it out you gotta cut of that useless exhaust hangar or go up over the top of the sway bar and out the back, which make it a massive pain to put back in with RTV on it so i recommend you cut the hangar off

Depends on what diff he is doing. He can do both......

He already replaced the fluid. Pretty sure cover was easy to remove, if he even removed the cover.

The truck diff doesn't have anything in the way. I was just trying to drain it without removing it.
In the future there could be a better way.

I believe he stated that he was unable to get the cover out to take a look at it, sounds like he cracked it to drain it and was asking how to get the cover out

I gotta say, it is kinda useless, tbh. The exhaust doesn't use it. Not impossible to work around, just way easier if its gone....
