the compressor for the ATP turbos are bigger than the gearhead ones. Reading up on them I’m debating about which to pick. Just got done replacing two blown turbos and one of the replacements is about to be finished also. The extended warranty company is just going to keep putting the stock ones in ‍♂️ So I need to get some upgraded ones so they don’t blow

ATP are 2500 if you send in cores
GH are 2000 if you send in cores
The ATP are like 3300 if you just buy them, the GH are 3000

Gearhead is more than enough to yeet your stock motor into nonexistence. Ask me how I know. Unless you have a built motor there is no point in the ATP

Both utilize stock housings and as such, BOTH are susceptible to cracking.

So be forewarned about that ahead of time.

The ATP's are slightly larger and slightly more money as a result.

Really depends on your end goals.

The GH's weren't an available option for me at the time I purchased my ATP's.

But looking back, me personally, I'd still choose the A's, over the G's.

Both are sufficient for the vast majority of folks out there though. So either's a viable option really. Good luck in whichever you decide.

Also food for thought, the last 3 sets I attempted to order from ATP, they didn't have cores in stock, so call before ordering.

That said, if you want ATP, buy from me and take advantage of the coupon code in my signature lol.

Neither company will utilize cracked housings, but Matt does have a source for partial housing replacements I hear.

It all comes down to saving up to get them because replacing turbos every few weeks is going to get old and not worth keeping the car. And all this due to the extended warranty no replacing what was there when I bought the policy for the car
