Has anyone replaced their valve cover grommets?
These are the washer that fit into the top of the valve covers.
These grommets have dried out and cracked.
I found some that were listed for the 3.0 dohc that fit into the cover but they are flush to the top of the cover and don't allow the bolt to compress them without the bolt bottoming out.
Has anyone run across this problem and have any suggestions for a fix?
Thanks.

The SHO Source ones require a little bit of RTV when installing I've been told. I have no first hand experience with them. Just repeating what I've heard a few times.

Good to know, i would have just bolted them down under the caps.

Thanks a lot.
Got it.
Should have read the entire SHO Source catalog. lol
Sometimes stuff is easy to find and sometimes you need to send an email or dig deeper. I hope they still carry them. They're the only ones I know who came up with this substitute. You could always mic all the dimensions and try to locate something that will work.
