I don't quite understand why people put fake badges on their cars. This guy also had SHO on his doors right behind the fender vents.

Fake it till you make it? How many 5.0 badges do you see on ecoboosts or v6. Same with all the M cars and SRT

The badging and spoiler must have been part of that SEL's "SHO Appearance Package", kind of like the Explorer's XLT "Sport Appearance Package"

Got one of those parked beside my SHO in the garage. 20" wheels, infotainment Sync 3, captains seat in the back.... 2wd, 3.5L.

Happy wife happy life. And it also helped that they gave us 84 months 0% financing after I beat them down on pricing for a couple weeks.

well - it's a 100%chance it's a '10 SHO with 50% chrome around the tail lights ! LOL - thinking of blacking out the surround chrome trim on tail lights .
DO IT! Your only regret will be having not done it sooner. And then you'll begin wondering what to black out next.

Use duct tape to peel most of the chrome that's left off. Then sand what's left. I only used that trick on half of my lights and kicked myself for it.

Lol...Jordan stripped his SHO badges and put on SEL badges.
There's a guy near me that did that, too. He did everything to debadge and then rebadge as a SE or SEL besides change out the fender vent detailing (he just blacked that out, but you can tell it says SHO if you look). I would never have noticed except that his aftermarket exhaust note gave him away. I pulled up next to him at a light and just looked at him like "really?", one Black SHO owner to another, and he laaaaaaaughed and laughed.

Fun times. I bet he really surprises people when the light turns green.

Wait, your profile says Canada. Are you from NC? I've never been to that jewelry shop but it's only about a half hour from me.

Those flaking tail lights are a serious manufacturing defect. Before I painted mine, I searched online and every single used pair for sale were flaking. Only options where to buy new SHO/Limited lights, buy a set of SEL lights without the chrome (seem to run about $100 each), or sand and paint. Took a little time but painting was well worth it.
