Yes. However, unlike wayyyyyy in the past, when the rules were quite stringent, they have since laxed and have become more lenient.

Unless you're running a limo (5%) most agencies no longer bother with it.

depends where you live. Local PD have tint measuring equipment in my town. They do alot of tick tack enforcement regarding autos here. Laws and enforcement vary widely. Check local references
