What’s up guys! I’m Joel, Just picked up a 2016 black sho non pp (I think). Things got 19k miles ..... I’m New to ford and especially the sho Iv been creeping the forums and inter webs for like a year now debating back n fourth if I wanted one.... well I’m happy I pulled the trigger this thing is great lol like a lil rocket ship. I’m in south Florida and not too sure if any other sho guys are around. Figured I’d introduce myself and see what’s up. My pops builds custom exhaust so the second day I had it I had to chop it up lol. Cut from the 3rd cat back off, added an x pipe and some black stainless steel tips. Looks and sounds great. First time the track wasn’t raining I was off lol. Best time I managed was a 13.89 @ 101 had a blast and looking forward to seeing what this thing can do!

They are quite the techno, rocket sleds for sure.

Nice intro, and glad to see that not only did you pull the trigger and purchase one, but also that you came out of the wood work after a year's worth of creep'n.

Welcome aboard the EB crazy train.

To echo BPD, welcome. These cars respond well to mods. I would change the fluids (Engine Oil, PTU, Trans to be start). There is a plethora of tuners for this platform now, so do your research and pick which is best for you if you decided to go down that road.

My SHO is tuned my AJPTurbo (Brad) and has made really good power with just a E30 tune. Matt with Gearhead would be my second choice. Both tuners use SCT devices, and allow customer input and data logging.

At the track what tire pressure were you using and how were you launching?

Thanks for everythjng guys. The track was last min (I even forgot my helmet) luckily I wasn’t deep enough in 13s for them to care. Lol anyways my tires were fully pressured at 40. I was in sport mode with the traction off (from the dash menu) non pp I believe so no button for it. Power brakes to 2500 where is stopped me and just let er rip it was a big event and tons of ppl so my runs were spread more than a test and tune night.... as u can see from reaction time... it’s been a while as for mods I’m excited seeing all the power people are gaineing just Intake exhaust tune... pretty impressive. I have e85 right next to my place are there any e85 tunes for these? Also I see everyone with tunes running the gapped plugs and thermostat so I’m going to guess that those are pretty vital. Thanks for all the info guys! Fluids all being changed this week. With a mechanic for a dad... I’ve learned one thing if any... if ur gonna blow money on a toy. Better take care of it.

Air your tires down and get that sixty foot down. Mine went 1.77 at it's best at 26 psi on all four corners. Traction off, Sport Mode, launched at 2400 at about 2 psi of boost.

There really isn't an E85 tune for our cars. The fuel system cant really handle anything over E35 ish. Quite a few of us run E30 tunes. We have calculators (I do the math in my head and usually fill up at the same point) and just mix the E product with 91/93.

Most SHO's stock produce 280 - 300 hp and 300 ish tq to the tire stock. Mine with just plugs, k&n drop in, AJPTurbo E30 tune put 391 hp and 470 tq to the tire tune only. So yeah...buckle up. I have alot of info in my owners thread here.
