New tranny, safe to tune?

hey guys so I finally got my baby back 2013PP with a new transmission, I was wondering, is it safe to tune or am I just at as much risk as before? I’m using gearheads AO

I just don’t want it to blow up a week later again. It seemed to shift really hard last time but like I said I have a brand new transmission in her so

See how it feels is what i tell everyone. Also make sure they programmed the correct valve body strategy with the dealer tool and the trans feels right stock before programming.

Trans feels just fine spoke to GH yesterday they said give the tune about 100 miles before I romp on it so the tune can learn the shifting

Lmao I feel dumb now, the only thing that worries me is how aggressive it shifts, like kind of jerks me back when I’m coming from a stop. I was told it’s supposed to shift hard but other than that the power is great and everything I’m just not used to a car shifting this hard, of course I haven’t driven a automatic for the past couple years before getting this either

I haven’t no, I’ve seen a couple aftermarket ones on Facebook for a couple hundred that I’m wanting to get when I have the money

When I got my new trans, I took it easy. However at higher throttle input it would slam down into a lower gear during a downshift. First time it happened, I nearly $hit myself because I was so gun shy. However, that harsh down shift has gone away and my trans works perfectly. Just takes time to learn.

However, I will be buying those trans mounts next as well.

Also how long did you take it easy mileage wise? I’m thinking a couple hundred before I pump on it too much lol
