what is the mechanical differences between our Ecoboost and the Ecoboost Mustangs & f150s ?

The tuner that did my roush charged 5.0 has a different ideas to tuning the Ecoboost in what I've seen on this and other SHO / Taurus forums.

I'm still trying to decide on a "tuner".
I have a reasonably fast (550rwhp/ 481tq) in the garage. I want a little more in my SHO daily driver but really don't want to do anything but maybe change to colder plugs and download a tune .

The Mustangs don't come with the 3.5EB. The F150s have different turbos and add variable cam timing in the exhaust side so it's not apples to apples. I suggest sticking with the tuners that know this car and think about adding a 3bar MAP while you're at it.

Thanks.
Whose tune are you running?
The two most popular tunes around here are Livernois and Torrie (aka, Unleashed). You will have good results with either. If you want an out of the box install and be done, go with Livernois. If you're willing to do some datalogs and vehicle specific tunes, Torrie tunes via that route.

And the answer to your original question is "yes" there are mechanical differences between the F150 3.5 EcoBoost and the fwd version.
