Hello all as of Jan 30 I am now the proud owner of a 2014 SHO. Glad to have found the forums, I have lots of reading and searching to do on here as I get ready to start modding my SHO.

Plans for the car consists of lots of money being spent at LMS since they seem to be the premier aftermarket performance company for these vehicles.

Although I can's say as I would go with 5% I think too dark and just asking to get pulled over I realize Houston in the summer . Are you talking 50% over the entire windshield? That could also be asking for trouble too but your money.

As for the 3M I will agree with that, Luminar is another good recommendation.

Might I recommend a 5% I believe gunsmoke is the shade it is one step darker than clear. Just enough to sport out the front end but not attract attention. If done right it will look natural and like it was OEM. It will also keep the headlight lens from yellowing after a few years. Lamin-X would be my choice.

I could never go that dark here and would get pulled over in a heartbeat. I have luminar ceramic 35% all around and 15% eyebrow..

Looks good, I am recommending 35% to my Pacific Northwest buddy may be slightly under legal limit but not obvious and you could probably get away with it. I went with 35% all the way around and 5% 0n the eyebrow tint. No restrictions for TX for eyebrow on color only length and the usual NON REFLECTIVE and no Amber, Blue, Red Yellow colors.

I put 20% on sides & back, 5% for the brow up front (3M). The camera makes it look a little wonky though. I only wish I would have gone a little darker, maybe 15% - so much window area makes it hard to actually black out the interior.

I've had a car with 5% all around. It was dangerous as night (awesome during the day!), so I removed it. Thankfully, I've never had any issue with authorities around here, at least regarding window tint...

I like 20% if it was a display model but for driving and mostly at night (Work overnights) I think the 35% was good, I would have probably gone 30% but next one darker was 25% and I felt it was too close for comfort on getting tint metered. 35% came out to 32% after tint metering as a courtesy by local P.D. If state law allows I recommend 5% or even 0% if available for the eye brow tint. It will keep overhead glare down when sun is directly overhead. If you get eye brow tint make note of the AS-1 Line and also note perephial vision. Some states allow 6" but check your driving position. 6" was allowed but I wound up with about 4-5" to make sure I could see straight ahead.

I'm out in the richmond/sugar land area.

I have 5% on my vic all around, and 50% over the front windshield. Been stopped a couple times, but i keep it dark so that people dont see me in my car in uniform... saftey issue with me having my kid in the car at times(some people aint so po-po friendly)

I will agree with you on that. Be safe out there, I love the idea of the 50% windshield I had 50% on my last SEL and it was effective but not overboard.
