I just had mine in last week for this TSB, easy fix and now it's like new again. Wish I would had seen this post first, it's always better when I can point them towards something and makes it a lot easier to explain.

Thanks,
D.

Glad it helped I was feeling the same way mine started at around 2600 miles I was not too happy at all but they finally got it fixed after I complained just can't believe I got stuck with a Nissan Versa for a rental car, this car is suppose to be Fords flagship car at first the service manager told me that she wasn't going to give me a car so I told her I didn't care if I had to drive her car or a rental car either way I was getting a car so my salesman got it worked out for me I have found so many defects with this car had a scuff on the back seat probably from assembly scratches on some of the trim pieces then I found this one day when I was washing the car a screw sticking out of the fender liner hate to say it because I have owned Ford cars all my life but it might be time to start looking at BMW s

I understand your frustration and it’s okay to vent and speak your mind, we all need that at times but I think you know that BMW probably isn’t the answer. While the fit and trim might be a little better designed and the balance of the car (50/50 weight distribution) is awesome and of course to your point, white glove/red carpet treatment is included (loaner cars, pickup, drop off and delivery services)… all this comes at a cost!

I did look at M4’s and while it’s a completely different car then my SHO and with all the above mentioned… I can’t pay 80k “plus” for all of that! My car was in the shop for 10 days, dealer covered first day (minus the extra insurance coverage) so that cost me 360 bucks to drive a little Ford Fiesta around (smile). But… I’ve had the car for over a year and this is the first time in the shop… so, let’s do the math!

BMW M4 @ 80K - Ford SHO PP @ 40K = 40K – 360.00 for rental = 39,640.00 in savings

Now again… not trying to compare the cars apple to apples here but I think with a few extra mods, it's close enough for me for a daily driver!

I’m now looking for a SuperPerformance AC Cobra 427 Shelby registered for my 2nd car and that cost savings is the only way I can even think about doing that… I believe I can enjoyed both cars very well and deal with a couple of issues with my daily driver with having both!

And of course having the Cobra in the garage could also save me 360 bucks in rental car fee’s for next time! LOL

Yea your right I'm sure once I start to mod all the frustration will disappear just expected a little better build quality out of a company I supported over the years by buying there products just started working for Chrysler and they are not there yet but there are some things in the works that I think are going to impress a lot of people

I got lucky with mine I just needed the washer fix on mine but it kinda bums me out wanted to start moding the car but now I think I'm going to wait until next spring just to make sure I don't have anymore warranty issues glad they got your car fixed hopefully the new halfshafts will hold up good for you.

They didn't want to put me in a rental at first but mine had a paint defect as well. Called Ford and opened a case they ended up putting me in a premium rental for 3 weeks.
Most of the time was the paint, pearl isn't easy to blend, they did match it perfectly, but I'm not sure how much they had to paint. I know it was at least both driver side doors for a speck.
