1996 Rose Mist Registry

Do you have always the VIN of your car ? I will put in my list and they will put in the registry.

Are you the owner of the rose mist on the screensaver of the V8SHO.com ? If i recall correctly, it's name was Kevin Montero... The car have white stripes on the side and red galipers. I will pay just to see the door sticker of this car (to compare with mine).

The car on the link is a Medium graphite one in well kept condition. The owner work in a body shop. Beware : this car have fifty shades of grey !

Mine was an Atlantic Canada car and after a dozen years the rust was getting structural in a number of areas. This can all still be fixed, but it does get expensive.

It's been over a year now. Standard Auto Wreckers here in Ottawa, Ontario picked it up a long with a black 97. both had welded cams too. Just that the yard was becoming a junk yard with 9 SHOs and only 3 running in the yard plus other vehicles... Too much cost and work involved. They might still be around either in Ottawa or Toronto.

There was only one charcoal gray in 96, the TR code Charcoal Grey Clearcoat Metallic. The Medium Graphite was the color of the gray leather, and folks just referred to the color as Medium Graphite over the years.

IIRC, I had heard that Kevin Montero totaled his many years ago. He brought his Canadian Pontiac to the '02 Maryland Convention, and I haven't seen him since.

IMO, that 58 count of the RM cars is the most correct tat anyone will find, as Ford has it tied to options and other production facts. Now, if there's a RM VIN that they "lost" somewhere, that could make it interesting, but you can't count what you don't have a record of.

I'm waiting for the VIN of this car, I called the scrapyard. But in the facts, it's the second. I found another before that it's probably a Rose mist. But the 58 number can still good even if these two Rose mist were listed having others colors in Etis data base. Do you have an idea how Ford count them (at the exit of factory, at a precise point in the factory, when they receive the order...) ?

I'm asking this question because the sequential VIN numbers and exit date of cars are not perfectly similar in order. (Ron, if you want an example of what I say, I can ship you a copy of the list I made with a lot of 96 VIN numbers.)

I have found another Rose Mist SHO. The short version is I found it on CL, and contacted the owner who said it has now been junked due to a siezed engine. He directed me to where it had been taken, and I went to find it. It was built 5/29/96 making it one of the last RM's. It has a few interesting options such as the phone and silver wheels.

It was built 5/29/96 making it one of the last RM's.

Later but not the last. Biggie found the VIN of their Rose mist, guess what... it was made in june 28, the last 1996 production day (according to Etis data base) :

Kevin we'd probably need to find the VIN. Do you know where Scott lives or what kind of mileage was on it?

I believe Eric was talking about this one to me a while ago. It's in Idaho, but running the license plate brings back a '95 Suzuki Swift, like the plates have been transferred. Anyone know who owns this one and what other information there is about it?

Idaho is referencing Ty Wakiri (sp?) last I heard it was still on the road. It IS a Rosemist.
Maybe Lucien Frederick can help find Ty?
