Took the new SHO with 980 miles to the track today. I`ll have to get my new scanner up and running before I can post the slips. I`m on a trip starting next Wed and gone for a week. Then I`ll install the scanner and get pic`s and slips.

Best was 13.42 @ 104.08. Worst was 13.50 @ 103.70. Stock car, pp, 41 degree air, with 1/2 tank 93 octane fuel.

I expected about a 14 or high 13 and was pleasently suprised with the mid 13`s. Great , easy to drive car. Guess I`ll have to tune.

Soooo, I took the SHO back to US131. I only had a little above 1/4 tank and stopped to get 4 more gal. (remember that)

Got to strip and ran 1st pass at 13.24 @ 105.6 but felt a little like timming was being pulled. Felt smooth losses in power especially after 1/8th mark. Just got worse as eve. went on. Four passes and down to 13.88 @ 100.8. Now feel definite losses in power several times down track and see loss even in 60ft time.

I went to tune back to stock but found I had 17 DTC`s in car, and no pen. Cleared and returned to stock. Now no codes after run but still feel some losses in power.

In retrospect I think I got 4 gallons of poor gass. I won`t know for sure untill I run it out and can repeat trip to strip but it was, in all, a dissappointing evening. Still 13.24 in a 4350 lbs car ain`t bad. Still think it can and will do better.

Later....

That's a bummer. I hope it was bad gas. I'm hoping with the Stage 4 tune I will crack into the 12's whenever I can get to the track. Was it hot and humid? 13.24 is not bad.

76 degrees and humid. Even then I felt some loss. I know more is there. I`ll eliminate 1 thing at a time untill I know what it was.
