Went up to Virginia to go to VIR (Virginia International Raceway). What a fantastic track and facility.

Click the link. This was from Fri. I own the Uphill Esses. When there's not a Porsche in my way, I go in flat in 4th at 110mph. I keep it pinned and come out at the top at about 115mph. I had a bunch of laps at 2:28. Most were 2:30, when there wasn't traffic.

I'll get more up when I upload them.

Brings back great memories from the 2011 Convention. I remember how well my 91' felt on the Esses. Thanks for sharing.

Nice. Man, the one straight is long. What king of speeds were you seeing on it? Which car were you driving?

Now I know what I am asking for for my next Birthday!!!:naughty:

The front straight is the one with the flag stand and the big tree. I go into Turn 1 at about 125mph. I lift at Brake Marker 5 and hammer the brakes at 4. The apex of T1 is 45-48mph. T1 is a hairpin with a double apex. T2 is a slight left and leads to Nascar or T3. A little brake check at about 75mph and make the fast left (over the gator). Then power on to T4. T4 kinda sucks. It's a flat 90* left that you've just got to slow down. I take it about 40-45mph. This starts the Snake where I'm flat out again in 3rd. I keep the throttle pinned thru T5, T5a and all the way thru the lower esses (The Snake), then shift into 4th entering the short shoot. I'm still flat entering the Uphill Esses. I go in at about 110mph and come out at the top at 115mph. The next turn is South Bend and a flat left that you MUST brake early and early apex. Then power down the hill and into the braking zone for Oak Tree. Oak Tree is a double apex flat right-hander and super slow..but really important because it leads onto the back straight. I worked on this corner all weekend and could almost touch the tire wall with my right side mirror. I could turn in, hammer the throttle, jump the gator and power out onto the back straight. The back straight takes forever. It gives you time to check the gauges, wiggle your fingers, check your e-mail, order a pizza...and check your six and look for the Z06 or the GT3 that is flying up behind you. After all that, T14 is the next left turn and it's uphill. I go into T14 at 130mph or so and slow to 80mph. T14a is a hard right at about 50mph. Then flat again in 3rd thru the Roller Coaster. Little tap of the brakes and jump the gator going into Hog Pen (double right, off camber) and out onto the front straight.

Best time so far is 2:28. That's gettin' it done.

Ran VIR last year with the stock, average-running, white '89. Got 117 (via the speedo) on the two long straights. Good to see a more-powerful SHO can better that by a bunch!!
