Hey guys!
Since I don't know anyone with an Ecoboost in the Montreal, Qc. area, I would have liked to share the experience of racing with fellow owners of Flex and SHO EB engines. I looked in Google map and it seems that New England Dragway is the closest from my home (at 300 miles!!!), but I figured it would be worth the trip if others would join and be willing to drive a few hundread miles. It'd be fun to be as many as possible and have a good time.
As I asaid, I'd be willing to drive all the way there, but I wouldn't go if it wasn't of you fellow members of the shoforum.
Any participants? I was thinking towards the end of October to close the season on a good note...
Cheers!

I'd come up and at least watch too, depending on the date. Were you thinking of coming up for a street night (Wednesdays and Fridays) or a weekend test & tune?

I would like to go, maybe on a Friday night, but I am open to other days. That said, I would really have liked to race with other Gen 4, which is the main reason why I'd go there, otherwise, I would go to one of the 8 drags within 2 hours of where I live... Nothing personal for other generations, is just that I have never seen any other Gen 4 racing and would have liked it.
Thanks!
Steve
As for how much it costs, usually it is between 7$ and 20$, depending on the day and the track...Very affortable.

NED is $20 to race on street nights. I think test and tune days are $35 or so.

Kirk might be open to bringing his '10 up. I don't think he's been to NED yet this year. It will probably depend on the date for him too, though. You can already count out the weekend of 10/22-23 due to the St Louis BBQ.

New England is a fast track! I'd love to see what your car runs there

-Rick
I'd like too, but so far, no Gen4 has answer my invitation... I guess it'll be for next year... At that point, I might just head for Detroit and go see you guys. It seems easier to gather people in your area Rick!
Cheers!
Steve
... Beside, if ever anything goes wrong with my car, I'd feel more secure being with you guys than by myself in New England lol!

I'd like to bring the new bike up, factory specs and mag tests say it'll run an 11.1, kinda wanna go out there and bang down the strip for the first time. If I ran a 12 i'd be happy since I've never been and probably won't be balls to the wall since I don't wanna pull the front end up the whole way down the track and have to wipe the shit off my seat at the end.

It's not worthless, you could go and get a good baseline for your car in stock form. That way you'd have something to compare with your future tuned times.

NED is only about 90 minutes away from me. I am interested in going. My car is completely stock non PP 11 Kona Blue.
Had it for one month and already 3600 miles.:omgsho:

I have made a few 0-80 runs on the highway when I had to make a few 'pit stops' in the breakdown lane - real fun.

Too far for me. I would travel 3 or 4 hours but not that far. I would rather find something in up-state NY where it splits the distance between QC and ON as well as NY, PA, etc.
...or...

How about another Livernois day in Michigan maybe combine with a shop tour for some long distance customers? I would travel further for that.

I am considering heading up on Wednesday Oct. 19. Just ordered the Livernois tune (still awaiting its arrival) and can't wait to try it out. Could possibly do a Friday night instead. I am in Mass about an hour away.
