Removed the rear sensatraks/eibachs from my 94 today.
I installed koni's/eibachs to replace. One question I have is when I put the driver side rear strut assembly in it doesn't really hang straight once I tighten the bolts at the top, it is more at an angle, towards the front of the car. When I installed the passenger side, it hung straight like it should. It was something that came off another SHO that was already assembled and ready to put in, so I didn't mess with the mounts.
Is this normal? Doesn't seem right that the driver side was hanging at an angle, and the passenger side was not. Could it have rotated somehow?
My other question, I installed an h-brace and there was an 8mm bolt that holds the e-brake line going to the passenger side, in the cavity that holds the h-brace. Well the h-brace wouldn't go all the way in with that bolt in the way. Does the e-brake line need to be mounted or can it rest on the rear control arms? Or is there a way to make that h-brace fit with that bolt in there?
Getting back to it in the morning, the heat, humidity, and rusty bolts made for a long day.
