I have the Corsa system installed, Been on the car for abiout 3 months of so. Love the sound under throttle, yet it's really quite under cruise conditions. One thing I've found out with the system, you can hear the engine when it's under load. When in 6th at about 50 MPH, you can hear the load on the engine. Couldn't hear that before. You really want to go into manual mode and shift to 5th to take the strain of the engine. Even with the windows down, sun roof open, there's no drone/excessive noise heard from the exhaust. The ease on installation for the system was just a simple bolt-on. I wouldrecommend this system highly for the SHO. Just like any other add-on, it's in eye of the beholder/buyer. I don't know of any other SHO in my area with upgraded exhaust, so I can't give an actually comparison.

Thanks for the comments. I'll look very hard at the Corsa product, especially if RavensFan79 works a deal with me on his used one...

Thanks,

Rick is right... As someone who has been thru DRONE with my G8's (DOD really creates it) saving money up front will frustrate you the rest of the time you own the car or keep a bad exhaust choice on the car.

I have a similar spot with my custom exhaust in my Brick around 1800 rpm, where everything is more noticeable. If I pull the shifter into manual, it automatically goes to 5th (towing mode in Flex). In my instance, this is occurring because I installed the mid-pipe that removed the 3rd cat. Still... I would do it again!

Still looking for a home for my used Corsa. (just 2000 miles of use) If anyone is serious make me an offer.

If anyone is in Carlisle for the Ford Nationals I think I can fit it in the GT500 and bring it up.
Sent you a PM, you still haven't opened it...
I actually had sent you a PM a few months ago concerning your Airaid I believe and you never had replied to me neither... I am serious in my offer and would like to discuss with you. Thanks for replying to me.

All right my friends!
So, after a lot of reading, I wanted to go with a Magnaflow, a Borla or a Corsa, but not only the price was high, but the stupid custom and shipping fees makes it not worth it. I considered going in person see Nesho, but it is a 5.5 hours drive just to go, plus the time he does it, etc.... too much trouble. I even tried to buy Raven's used Corsa!
I decided to have a new custom exhaust system done.
I went to Federal Mufflers in Montreal (very known and specialized place) and showed them my SHO.
I told them I wanted the equivalent of Magnaflow exhaust system combined with the X pipe from Nesho.
It will delete 3rd cat and resonator, have the X pipe and will use 2.5'' stainless steel 304 until the new 4'' pipes in brushed SS.
They quoted me between 800$ and 900$ paid cash, installed.
My appointment is this Thursday morning. They are going to lend me a car to go to work during the day, it should take them between 4-5 hours to do the complete system and then I will pick up my enhanced SHO...
Can't wait to see and hear how it drives!
The guy told me it would add a bit of power but mainly gives it a nice sound. The system will be lifetime guaranteed and there is a 90 days guarantee for the sound. He told me that he can make adjustments after if I find it too loud, etc. but he also told me he didn't think his setup would have any drone in the cabin...
You can count on me for after pics and sound tests (it won't take weeks for you to hear it, believe me!)
Cheers all!

All right, here is a sound of my new setup : 3rd cat and resonator deleted, X-pipe, 2.5'' tubing with 4.5'' tips (those tips were not my first choice, but the ones I wanted were too long... beside, I like how they use all the space in the holes. Sounds very nice in person, hope you can appreciate it on this video. The only thing, I might go back in a week or so if the sound is still to deep in the cabin at around 2,000 rpm. I was thinking of using cherry bombs after the x-pipe to diminish this effect... any other suggestion?
If not, I am more than happy with the results, the car sounds like a beast ready to attack. I will try to go to the track soon also to confirm the perception that it has more power too.
Cheers and welcome your comments!
Steve

Here is the setup compared to the old one (sorry for quality, taken with the iphone):

Here we don't see the setup, but I liked how it looked from the front with the lightening :

And here is how it sounds :

That looks alot like my Brick's system.

I used Magnaflow rear mufflers (satin stainless that I painted black) and the stock tips. My mid pipe is from NESHO and eliminates the 3rd cat & mid muffler. Normally one would just weld it in, but I set it up to be switchable with stock mid pipe using flanges.

Do you notice an increase performance?

My experience is similar to Darreli's, in that it seems to help the high end slightly, especially with my 3 Bar MAPv sensor. My top speeds in 1/4 mi are higher, but so far times are the same. Haven't had cooperative weather... either humid or hot, or both.

Great Job Steve!

Thanks,
I haven't tried it to the track, which will give me a more accurate answer, but for sure, I am biased with the heavy sound coming out now, so yes, it feels faster. I filmed from inside the cabin at different speeds and WOT, from outside with a good launch and a fly accelerating... However, with my laptop, I am losing the sound trying to upload the videos... I will try later on my other computer in the basement... The previous videos taken in my driveway was uploaded this morning at work with no problem, so worst case you guys will hear the other videos on Monday.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!

ok, it's Monday;)
lol! I put the camera beside the front door not to forget it going to work... I will try to upload the video this morning at work... Not a perfect video in the sense that I was by myself so and it a bit long for nothing, but I will indicate the times where worth listening to. In a few hours...

All right, I redid 2 videos this morning trying to keep it shorter :

First video is a launch (0-60+) and fly by accelerating (0-80) passing at around 75 beside camera. Only 1st minute interesting, unless you want to see my face at the end going to shut camera down lol! It was in an isolate road, with a lot of bumps, sand and small rocks, but it gives a good idea of the outside sopund, especially on take off, the fly by doesn't capture the deep sound imo.

The second video was taken going at work. I was playing with paddle shifter... Watch from 0:25 until 0:57. It was with a bit of traffic so I kept it easy. Just to show you the cool sporty sound when daily driving it.
