Thank you all for your comments, good or bad... NO need to vote anymore, it was a mistake and you guys made it clear! lol!
Cheers!

Hey guys,

I started to put some decals on my car and so far, I love the sporty look they give to the car. I have the windshield Livernois Motorsports with the smaller on back side windows (not the same as in the pictures below, more squarish instead of the roundish ones). I also have the Twin Turbos on the side of the hood. Finally I have the H&R logo on the bottom part of the car behind the front wheels (but I am not a super fan of their logo and consider either removing or putting it somewhere else).
Now, I guess it is like people getting tattoos, I would like to add a last pair of «450HP» decals and would like your input on either it is too much and/or where would they look the best :
1 ) Between actual decals of Twin Turbo and side mirrors
2 ) Under the side Taurus «inserts»
3 ) On the trunk (which only has SHO for the moment), but in that case I would have to rethink the whole trunk to match the fabric of the SHO and the 450HP...

I know some of you will say : «Take it easy man, 450HP!!! in your dreams». Well, the answer is YES, in my dreams! It is probably not that far anyway from that number and will probably reach it soon with coming mods and anyways, for its weight, it feels like it has 450hp... But maybe I would put 435HP (as long as it has more than SRT8 lol)

Thank you for letting me know what you'd do if you were addicted to decals etc.
Here are a few pics with quick photopaint to give an idea :

:thankyou:

I said no decals but im not sure if that means not this particular decal or all the ones you have. i think the TT and h&r stickers are well placed. But the 450 hp tags would make it just too much going on up front there imo. that black is my favorite color hands down of the 4th gen, nice car.

Thanks for your answer. The survey is just for this last decal of 450hp, I will keep the Liernois for sure and and probably the H&R too, unless I go ahead with the 450hp and it would look too concentrated in that same area...

No decals bud, looks good as it is. I was gonna put 856HP on the cowl of my Lightning but decided against it. If it came from the factory with a HP badge or something, great. But as it sits, don't show the HP ratings. Some punk is gonna pull up next to ya and want to race you. i.e, the younger Gen 2 crowd in the green SHOs :laugh_ti: (Just kidding fellas, I know ALOT of green Gen 2 guys).

It can be tempting to race the guy/gal next to ya, but not worth getting in trouble with the law if the temptation hits ya. BUT, then again, its your car and if you like the decal by all means slap it on there. I'd toss it under the fender trim "TAURUS" piece if it was me. :naughty:

Absolutely not. I think advertising how much hp you have is kind of silly. I think the back end looks great with just the SHO, so I vote no on any decals anywhere.

Ok ok... lol! I admit, it was a silly vision I had and I should have thought over it a bit more before posting the idea here, but hey... you guys helped me to eliminate that option kind of fast!
Thank you all! I agree with the comment of thebigjimsho at Ford... They didn't make the SHO distinctive enough, so it is easy to overdo it in trying to make it sportier etc.
I think my car looks good the way it is, but I am sure I will come up with another idea sooner than later... I am hooked, what do you want me to say... «Hello, my name is Steve and I'm an addict» lol!

*disclaimer: It's your ride, do what appeals to you, but you're asking for opinions so here's mine*

It amazes me that any of you guys are putting any sort of decals on, short of maybe a small windshield banner like the Livernois one. IMNSHO, this ain't that kind of car. No Taurus is. Subtlety, dechroming, stuff like that is what makes these cars look badass.

While I can appreciate the love for the car, and the want to modify, I think saving the money some of you guys have used on decals to put towards other aesthetic mods would be a wiser idea. ****, I can appreciate how much work went into that resprayed blue 2010, but I think it looks like shit with all the stencils, flames, and so forth. Again, owners' choice is always respected. Keep in mind, I'm the kind of guy that doesn't like any decals, banners, additional badging, etc. Stealthy is badass.

Hi Bob,
When we ask for opinions, we need to deal with all sort of comments and this is what makes this forum interesting.
I understand your point of view on decals and I wouldn't go all the way like putting flames etc. However I want to explain (not justify) my view on the decals I chose to put :
First, all of them cost me 20$ total, so probably the cheapest mod to be done.
I like the Livernois decal on the windshield because imo it makes the car look lower... like if it was the line of the roof, so it makes it look sportier just by itself. The car looks unique that's for sure... I love the tunes from Livernois and am happy on top to advertise for them in my area... Taurus is not a sport car to start with, but I think mine (like many others in this forum) starts to look sporty/badass without going the stealth way. There are not many sport cars under 50K$ with that power, that space, that luxury... I didn't buy a Mustang, but I still like sport cars.
I receive at least 2-3 thumbs up per day and every time I am in a parking lot there is a guy coming at me asking me questions about the car and telling me how nice it looks... That never happens to owners of BMW or Mercedes. I am a proud owner of a Ford and I think we have the best bang for the buck. I just find that The SHO lacks of distinction compared to normal Taurus, and the decals accentuate the difference.

Cheers! and thanks for your comments,

Steve
