I am trying to convince the Carlisle Ford National people to break out the SHOs into Generation classes in future shows. It is very difficult for us Gen 1, 2, and 3 owners to compete on the same level with brand new cars. Would anyone else like to get on board with this? At this year's show Gen 4s took the first two places, leaving us older SHO owners scratching our heads as to how we are supposed to compete. Your thoughts?

With only 12 cars showing up, thats not going to be easy. It's kind of like when I won first place with my 2002 in 09. When I registered, there was only 1 class, but when I showed up, there were two classes.

Kirk talked with Rick about this last year and he didn't think it would be a problem, he just never got around to doing anything about it since it was pretty clear a couple months ago that a bunch of us weren't going to be making it this year.

As I mentioned in the LSHOC thread, I expect with the 2013 being released next spring that we'll probably get together with Rick and Ford again and get back close to the stands and figure out a better way to group the cars.

That would be great. Its kind of tough on us who spend the time, money, and effort to keep the old SHOs looking good and running well to see our 15 to 20+ year old cars compared to new ones, it almost feels like a no win situation. Is there anything we can do from our end to help get things done? Let me know....thanks

WITH ONLY 12 cars this yr i doubt it will happen

Agreed

A voting by v6/v8/eco only works if we are at at least 8 of each. Otherwise it becomes too much of an everyone gets a prize type of thing. The year we did Stock and Modified makes much more sense to me.

i agree, i have been going to carlisle all ford for 15 years now, and i have never seen it this bad, it was dead this year, i had a boatload of sho parts for sale, along with a bunch of mustang parts, old and new, i brought home just about everything i brought to the show. i hope it gets better next year, and for sure the show classes need to be broken up, cause lets get real, a gen 2 and a gen 4 dont even belong in the same class. the event personal should realize that, thats like puttin a 76 mustang next to a 68 shelby 500, hmm wonder whats gonna take that trophy home.... but i will be bringing one of my shos next year, hope they pull there heads outta there ass, also hope to see you all there!
