The SHO died on me

I was pulling in my driveway and it stalled on me. Noticed the oil can icon on the dash in blue. Checked the oil, it was fine. Next day, I figured I'd see how it was doing. I was letting it warm up and it almost stalled when the idle dropped down. Backed out and it stalled when I put it in drive. Again, the oil can icon in blue was on the dash. Oil life was at 89%. I had it towed in and it again stalled a couple times getting it on the flatbed. Check engine light never came on, so there were no error codes. The mechanic found no messages either. He grabbed a monitor and took it out for a spin. The #1 cylinder was dropping, and occasionally others as well. Replaced all 6 plug per TSB 10-17-10 and it's been running fine so far. The service department was closed already by the time I got a ride to pick up the car so I never got to speak to the mechanic or take a look at the plugs that were replaced. One thing that bothers me, if the ceramic is breaking off, is it going through the turbine blades?

Do you know if the ceramic is truly breaking off and leaving the plug, or is it cracking and falling down on the plug? I've broken one plug in my old turbo SHO, and it broke the ceramic basically fell down and covered the electrode.

Well, I haven't had that problem, but I did have (at about 20,000 miles), TWO fuel injectors just wig out on me. It was over 100 degrees when it failed on me. They replaced all spark plugs and had to replace two fuel injectors that were stuck wide open.

Do you know if the ceramic is truly breaking off and leaving the plug, or is it cracking and falling down on the plug? I've broken one plug in my old turbo SHO, and it broke the ceramic basically fell down and covered the electrode.

Can't say because I haven't spoken to the mechanic yet and I didn't get to see the plugs. The ceramic breaking off is what's in the picture in the TSB. Well, I got 5.5 years of warranty left

I just bought a 2010 SHO, and as of this morning am experiencing similar symptoms. I didnt notice any dash indicators, but the car was stumbling at a light and scared me as it seemed it was going to die on me. It cleared up for the next couple of lights, then as I started to take off from a light, it began really acting up and I actually pulled to the side because I was sure it was dying. It cleared up and got me to work, but I know theres a problem. Do you guys think its likely this TSB? Anybody else encountered similar symptoms that turned out to be something else? I am quickly becoming disappointed in my car. Its only a year old with 15,000 miles. I tout the reliability and quality that Ford has increased so much over the past few years, but this is going to really make me look dumb to all the folks I 'tout' to.

^have the dealer look at it. Just got mine back from the dealer last week with similar symptoms. They replaced all 6 plugs and 1 injector. Ended up being the #6 injector was failing on me.

Yeah, definitely take it in and have them figure it out. I haven't had any problems since they replaced my plugs. I never got a chance to talk to the mechanic who did the work. I'll get an oasis report and see what exactly they wrote what was done on the official report.
