Has anyone used Power Pro brand coil on plugs?

I have a misfire on one of my back cylinders, was going to replace it with a Motorcraft brand, and move the back four to the front, and the front four to the back. (I read here that the back seem to fail sooner due to increased heat- any thoughts?) I have new Ford coil, but have been too busy to tackle the job, and now I have a misfire on one of the fronts. (Good thing I didn't move them yet!)

These aftermarket ones are really inexpensive. I can buy eight for the price of three Motorcraft ones. Has anyone used them? Any thoughts- are they inexpensive, or just "cheap". Or would you guys replace the back four with Motorcraft ones and keep the three working ones as spares for the front?

I'm a gen 2 guy, so any info from you experienced third gen guys would be appreciated.

Thanks.

(BTW- Based on my resaerch here I figured I'd change the spark plug wires and blinker fluid while I have the intake off!):omgsho:

I wish there was a hard and fast answer. I've experienced multiple failed cheap coils that I bought on ebay. Went back to Motorcraft. Those were the cheap Chinese ones. Others have used them and report no defects yet. I have no idea about that particular brand. It's tough to manage the risk vs the big price difference. I have decided to use oem coils since my experience proved to be more expensive in both time and money doing it twice.

I bought a set of four on ebay from a seller by the name of alanisdeals. I found a post on here recommending them.
I don't see any v8 coils listed by them at the moment, but you could try contacting them to see if they have any.

I can't tell you they're going to last 100k or anything, but I put mine in (on the back) 6k ago and haven't had any trouble. I paid a little over $80 for 4 of them.

Buy some used ones from one or two parts cars.

crappy -were the COP's garbage, or was that not the problem?

Thanks for the feedback- I bought three more motorcraft COP's and will put them on the back bank, and keep the two spares in the garage for down the road- hopefully the older ones I leave on the front will be the ones to go first!

I picked up 8 of those Ebay coils from Alanisdeals quite a while ago, still trouble free for me.

Amazing amount of variance in the results people have had with these. Seems to me the solution if you are buying them is to just buy a dozen, since they are cheap anyway, and that way you are covered in case some go bad.

Personally, I am still on the ones that came with the car when it was delivered, and so far they are working fine. Excuse me a moment while I knock on my head... :)
