I wish we could get the THX sound system from the MKS..... I listened to a DVD-Audio disc I had of Yes Fragile on the sound system and it was PHENOMENAL! Not to say that the Sony system in the SHO is bad, however that THX system was the best I've ever heard for a factory system and I've been in the auto business for quite awhile and driven/owned many different cars......

I will say it. The system in the sho pretty much sucks. While it could be worse it is far from good.

yep, can't understand why we got this stereo, time for an upgrade

Really? I think the Sony sounds better than the Harmon Kardons in Mercedes. Its also the source you listen to. You guys listen to FM/AM? iPod? CD?

Interesting concept......

I did find myself doing a double and a triple take at those chrome tipped paddle shifters I must admit.

Although not a huge fan of chrome, that lil bit on the paddles seems to be "just enough" to distinguish the paddles from everything else in/around the steering wheel, ect.

I agree, one of the reasons I got a SHO over the MKS is that I like the exterior of the SHO much more then the MKS, I like the SHO shifter much more then the MKS, overall the SHO's interior is more to my tastes then the MKS, although I do like woodgrain in an interior, but overall, I think the SHO interior is pretty darn cool.

sound system in a car is a hugely important part of the driving experience for me. I was very impressed with the MKZ THX audio as well as the shaker 1000 in the mustang. The MKZ had great clarity but the mustang was just brutal loud... on the right roads it would be perfect.

I'm listening to all formats, even my Sony Walkman MP3 player utilizing it's equalizer doesn't help. My Bullitt Mustang was crisp and clear, this SHO sounds muddy, the bass isn't there and the treble response is weak at best. I wonder what options I have? Any ideas? Thanks.

You have the sony sound? Turn the bass and treble all the way up, turn off the surrond sound option. Turn off your equalizer option on the walkman. Mine sounds awesome, and I've listened to $20k systems and those expensive Mercedes ones.

I was refering to the "Cool D.j."(s) that can ride in the third row.....:swing::swing::thankyou:

Best w/ CD's? C'mon EBB, who ya fool'n?

We all know given the room of the Brick's interior, that you're rock'n the 8-track in the head unit and a nice set of turn table's in the back.

***looking around frantically*** "Now where'd that ABBA lp disappear to?"

I own an MKS (a 2009 precoboost) AWD, and while it's a lovely car, there's no end to the gripes over spending some $7-11K to get nicer seats, a little more NVH deadening, and the THX Stereo - and NOT having things like BLIS, Active Motion Seats and so forth - at ANY price.
