welp, it took long enough for me to pull the trigger, but due to a lucrative job offer and lack of any worthwhile work here in AZ (and my job pretty much turning into training my bosses relative to replace me) we have decided to relocate back to MN.

what i'm trying to say is my wife told me we're moving out of AZ and i had to be OK with it.

frankly I am, gonna miss this place, gonna miss hanging out with you guys.

best wishes to everyone, hope everything goes good for everyone.

it does and it doesn't.

I choose to look at it like this, the job wasn't meant to be. I told myself when my boss started asking me to train his bro-in-law to do it that I would definitely be getting replaced.

I chose to think positively and hope that my willingness to train him and train him well would open up a door in another part of the company for me. unfortunately that did not happen.

I just feel like I gotta do what is right for my family now, and right now moving back to where i grew up just feels like the thing i should do. the job offer i got is paying the same salary, but also includes much better benefits, a much more stable situation, potential to grow with the company, and much less traveling out of state and away from my baby girl.

I'm staying positive, I'm looking forward to going to what feels like home in my mind. My wife has been wanting to move to MN since I met her.

i'm just not looking forward to rusty cars.

first rule of project meyhem tom...

It'll be doing maintenence and chemical distribution for a company that services Commercial Dish and Beverage Machines. i did similar work about 3 years ago before i moved down here to Arizona.

I have real good feelings and high expectations with this job. much more solid than the one i currently have been with. it got really hokey right when my daughter was born and i've had a slight unease about it since.

I can't promise anything about not being a stranger, but my wife's entire family lives here so i assume there will probably be infrequent visits back here.

I really just kinda feel like i've played out AZ as far as i plan on taking it, and i'm not at all excited with the prospect of my kid going to school out here.

Have a safe trip and best of luck on the new adventure!

Why does everybody move here in the spring and move away in the fall?

I am not a part of the AZ SHO club, I too wish you the best. It is funny sometimes how we know, "its time to move on". Congrats on the new job and I hope you have safe travels to the frozen tundra of MN. ;)

Hey, don't be giving away our secret attractions. The less people that know the better. :)
