i recently had a custom exhaust made for my '94 ATX. it consists of a new flex pipe, an 18" magnaflow resonator, and 2 magnaflow xlturbo mufflers, 2.5" pipe for everything from the end of the y-pipe back. the new exhaust sounds very good, has a VERY deep tone and very little rasp. the problem i have now is a whistling sound coming from around the y-pipe whenever i go past half throttle. cant exactly figure out where it is coming from. im thinking that because its still the STOCK y-pipe and cats that one of my cats is probably packed up and not used to having the increased flow from the rest of the exhaust behind it. i would really like to know if anyone has had this problem before. and if so what was the issue and how was it solved. also i want to replace my cats, so im also looking for advice on how to go about it, ie.(hi flow cats, stock replacement cats, no cats, new y-pipe, etc...). thank you for your help, take it easy and have a good one.
