:laugh_ti: You'll cry, how do ya think I'll feel?? My three supercharged V-8s love the gas so much I'll need to take out a loan to drive down to Sam's house. :nut:

As much as i would love to have a supercharged SHO. I wouldn't want to see the gas bill....

It always surprises me how much we complain about gasoline prices while we'll spend a dollar for a 12oz bottle of water without a thought. Or $20-$30 for a night(for two) at the movies. We don't drive these vehicles because we have to, we drive them because we enjoy the driving. If gas would go to $5 a gallon, I would still drive my SHO. Just consider how much I can drive my SHO in exchange for the price of even the least expensive economy car. I come up with one conclusion, Drive that SHO! :salute:

I don't mind paying for gas at all. I even need to buy a barrel of race fuel for my L and that'll be several hundreds of dollars for a 55 gallon drum. I've always had gas hogs since I was able to drive. Yeah, a stock V-8 SHO should get 17+ mpgs. I may be lucky to see double digits out of my blown SHO on a good day. As for the Lighting and the BIG truck, 9 miles a gallon is my normal. Let me get the horses romping and, well, guess what happens then. :nut: D.J., I was just commenting on how the others were worried about gas prices in their V-6 SHOs. I figured I'd get a chuckle out the "loan" comment really. We should be able to translate over like we do on the SVT forums. We all like to call it "Smiles Per Gallon". And who knows, I may even get better gas mileage heading down to Sam's place. I can't wait to see!! :dribble:

Actually what they're saying now is that because of the spill in the Gulf it's pushing it up higher. Thanks BP. Let's just all write to them and make them pay for everyone's gas down here.

Psh, you don't need brakes to come to the meet. Or gas. Haven't you guys learned to teleport yet? (also, apparently teleport isn't a word but telephony is...ok)

Anyway hopefully gas will start to behave once all the stuff from the gulf settles down (which it SHOULD I hope before the end of June) and everyone can get down here.

In general, if you think you'd like to come but aren't sure for reasons of a car being broken or gas prices go ahead and tell us you're a maybe/probably.

well my SHO went down a couple hours ago... until i can get a new caliper bracket and calipers for the rear which hopefully wont take long. The slider pins i swear were never greased they didn't move twist slid nothing. They have a nut thing on the tip so you can hold it to tighten the caliper i guess, but I twisted it and snapped right off...fun night. ill be there one way or another tho

I agree with that. My son's graduating this weekend from Brevard College. He's graduating Magna *** Laud with Honors and has been accepted for his Masters program at the University of Ireland at County Cork. This is definitely a special week. :salute:

If I don't do something with my cars, I might have to bum a ride from Jamie. Looks like I need to get to work!

Get to work!

-Sam

Planning to work on dropping the trans put of the silver '92 this week/weekend.

Jamie won't reply to me about it  He'll be busy with his new job though, so we will see how things go.

I think the car needs a clutch over a trans. Clutch doesn't seem to be disengaging all the way. :swing:
