I've just made a full-day project of replacing the spark plugs and wires on my 94 ATX, and while I'm under the hood I figured I'd replace the EGR too, since it was giving a code (this is all related to another problem that I'll probably make another thread for, to beg for help).

Well, not so simple. I've got everything else done, but can't unscrew the EGR from the pipe that runs down to the exhaust. Is there a trick to this? Because I'm stuck. No pun intended.

Soak in PB Blaster and use heat. Don't use heat right after soaking though.

How many bolts did you remove from the EGR?

I know it's a stupid question. Answer should be two. There's one on the bottom I always forget about for the first few minutes since it is underneath and out of sight.

Stupid, I know, but hey it happens.

I think he is trying to remove the EGR valve from the EGR tube.

bolt the sensor back to the intake and try again. if the extra leverage alone don't work, use the liquid and heat wrench. one of the best tools in my arsenal is the lil blue bottle of bolt freer.
