I've had mine down to 3 miles til E, and no power loss. When it was in the teens, I had to get up on it real quick and it felt like it was all there on tap. What you thinking there Paul?? I see gears turning.

My Srt-4 Doesn't loose power either but that's kinda smart but I'd be pretty annoyed because we have a gas station every 50 feet here so I don't want my last 50 miles to be boring! haha

I struggle to see the logic in forcing your pump to scavenge for those last 50 miles instead of just filling up at any one of said 500-foot interval gas stations when the fuel light comes on.

Technology Integration

I have not experienced any power loss in my 2010 SHO when the "Low Fuel" light illuminates but, I have the NAV screen and when my "Low Fuel" light came on, my map automatically brought up the gas station icon for all stations within the range of my map. I think this is really a nice feature, especially if you are in an unfamiliar area, very handy and convenient.

OldSalt:

Thanks for the tip.

I am one of those who at age 70 in 6 weeks is rather overwhelmed with the technology on current vehicles.

Mind you, I spent more or less 30 out of my productive 50 years in the car business, starting my own retail business, non auto related, 18 years ago and I am astounded at the advances in technology in today's vehicles.

I am one of those that only listens to PBS on my car radio and I only use my Nav system when I need it but it is always in the "background".

Today, for the first time, I went below the first warning for low fuel and lo and behold, just as you posted above, I was presented with an array of gas stations within I guess 5 miles popping up on the Nav system display.

Dayum.........

I think this is a great feature. I know it isn't the same vehicle but I know my turbo SHO will gulp a 1/4 or 1/8 of a tank extremely fast if you are lead footed and I have definitely found myself running out of fuel at alarming rates. so reducing power to make sure you don't end up pushing the car
