presently im running a 3" tube that connects to a "in engine compartment" Filter or (hot air intake) my filter has a second tube that connects to the bottom of the air filter that leads to colder air, and i can hear the intake just fine with lots of BOV noise.
I have freinds that make carbon fiber( yes they make it) So I can buy it cheap and She has a guy that fabricates with it. So sometime in the near future ill have a Carbon fiber CAI for sale.
as far as Max boost goes, well iMO thats going to take a while to get there, first the engines should break in and second and most important they should be out of warranty before this is tried, tested, and ran for any real world driveability.
See With the new car Ford can see everytime you tune of make changes to the car, and if you overboost and blow something up because of what you did then the warranty is gone. Its not like the old days when you can return to stock and hide it all and play dumb.
BC, is running 12.7x now and that tune because of the boost levels are higher should be run for a few months to see how the engine will hold up. I mean who wants to spend 37-45k then another 400 for a tuner that blows stuff up?
I was dumbfounded the other day when I got a call to make new exhaust manifolds and install bigger turbos already!!!!! My response was come back in 3-4 years!
