I am having some trouble with a shoforum vendor. I ordered some parts from him in December of 2006. Paid for the parts in full and waited ever so patiently for their arrival. Time passed and other people received their merchandise and I did not. Finally, months after everyone else received their shipment and multiple calls to the vendor, a package arrived at my doorstep as well. Oh happy day! My parts are here! I ripped open the package, but much to my dismay, it only contained a part of my order.
I called the vendor to ask about the remainder of the order but couldn't get in touch with them. More time passed and the car that I originally purchased the parts for was in the process of being sold. I no longer needed the parts, so once again, I pulled out my phone and tried to get ahold of the vendor. This time I was successful. I explained the situation and asked for a refund. I was told that I could have a refund, but that I needed to wait a little while so that they could get the money. That was last summer....Needless to say, I have attempted, unsuccessfully to get in contact with this vendor. Calls, emails, pm's, talking to people who know the vendor...Nothing has worked. As far as I'm concerned, being busy is not an excuse for not delivering parts promised or refunding money. I'm out my money for parts that were promised, but never shipped. I just want my money back. That's it. What would you guys do if this happened to you?

Glaringly obvious that you took care not to mention names or products.

Probably a smart call on your part.

It can go two ways. If the vendor is not popular around here and you post a name, they will probably get a ration of noise from forum members.

If the vendor is popular around here, you'll likely be the target of a dogpile. As you carefully covered your tracks to this point, you need to decide how much you lost and how much you want it back, and if you feel like being possibly dogpiled.
I believe you can even have your posting priviledges suspended on 'other' forums in retalliation for speaking your mind about popular members, so choose wisely.

A very astute observation on your part Eric. I would think that the advice for someone in my position would be the same, regardless of who the offending party is. I have taken additional steps. If that avenue doesn't yield the desired response then I will take things to the next level, shitstorm or not...

I would like to thank the vendor for getting in touch with me. We have an agreement in principle.

Well, what was the point of this thread being here? I thought this forum section was to help inform us of specific vendors/sellers when making purchases. Wheter or not you received a refund, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know who this vendor is. There's members who like to purchase online and spend great amounts of money, and I'm positive there's no one out there who would like to wait almost 3 years to gain from their spending. This thread is more of a SHO-Related topic....

No, actually it doesn't need to be moved and belongs right here. It was an attempt to get the vendor's attention without embarrassing the vendor. It was successful in doing that, but the thread will remain as a permanent record of his attempt, and I would imagine that he will update the thread with either a positive or negative reply when the time comes. I am fully aware of who the vendor is.

lol I wasn't saying that it needed to be moved, just that it seemed more of like a SHO Related topic since there was no one to be heard of for fame or shame, which is the point of this section from what I understand. ;)

Vendor: NESHO
Experience: Extremely poor customer service

I was contacted by Kirk via pm back in July and was told that they were really busy with the convention stuff but to contact them in September and I would be compensated. I sent an email as instructed and didn't hear anything back. I called last Friday and got in touch with Kirk. He said that he was headed to St. Louis for the weekend and that he would send me the money via paypal when he got back into town. Kirk has my information and as of today at 6:00 pm EST he has not sent me a refund. I understand that the week isn't over yet (technically), but this is getting ridiculous! How long does it really take to sit down at a computer, any computer, and send my $300 out using paypal? I mean really, two minutes? Three? I've waited almost three years; I would think that three minutes would not be out of the question.

Yup first few minutes that I could sit down you would get your money.. Now there is far far more to this story! as anyone would guess why would somene wait almost three years?

Do tell Kirk. I'd be really interested to hear what you can come up with. Thank you for the refund. I'm not trying to get into a ******* contest with you. And I have no doubt that you have many happy and satisfied customers. My only issue with you was getting parts that were paid for a LONG time ago. That didn't happen so I requested a refund a LONG time ago. You refunded the money. Case closed. If you really want to get into this, we can. Have a fantastic evening.

That's the part I was wondering about from the op. Figured after waiting that long one would be SOL and normally would be almost anywhere, no matter the circumstances. Regardless of what the probs were or who was at fault, etc. I'd consider it lucky to get any money back and any business refunding it would have to get a big + or 2!

Not that this really matters but I initiated this awhile ago and was dismissed every time. If I were dealing with any other company, I would have had parts in hand or a refund after I paid for said parts in full. Most businesses don't get away with taking money and not providing the goods or services associated with it.
