basketweaves and slicers were the only stock wheels to come on the SHO from the factory.

ya bunch of meatheads, the dude's got a valid question and ya'll're pokin fun. oddly enough, one of the merry-makers doesn't even own a SHO. if you'd put half a thought into what he's askin about, he's askin about the black basketweaves that some cars got from the factory.

is a conjunction of "you all are" that only southern folk know how to properly pronounce and spell.

I am from the South (born and raised). I don't say that or any variation (i.e. y'all, y'all're..or however you said it). I do know what you're talking about because many people in the South talk like that. I prefer a neutral accent, especially since I travel alot. Southerners tend to get made fun of. My travels around the country have also enabled me to avoid "picking up" or "keeping" more of a Southern drawl. I have heard both ways that I have a little bit of a Southern accent while others tell me I have none at all. One person asked if I was from RI....WTF? Tom (93rev2sev) has talked to me on the phone as well as Bill (SHOBill), so they could tell you more.

I like my home and being close to the Gulf but that doesn't mean I want to talk like all of them either. :) Now my fiancee....wow; she embarrassed me a bit when we went to Chicago. She's from rural MS though.

Anyway...straying off topic. Yes I think he's talking about the black basketweaves; that's why I posted a pic of one in an earlier post. Yes, it was a factory option...and if you get on Ebay you might even find one of the magazine ads from 1990 with a black SHO w/ the black basketweaves. There's one out there showing them on the car. I have a picture of the black ones on a SHO I almost bought, but I'm too lazy to upload it to photobucket.

Yeah, I used to live there, and unless you accidentally wander across the river into Benton Harbor, St. Joe MI is most definitely The North.

Over the years, I've seen both white and black factory basket weaves, not many tho, they're rarer than a Lindsay Lohan in church sighting.

My SHO came with a very rare factory supercharger from a Thunderbird. ;)

its likely they are aftermarket or factory baskets.

as far as rare SHo's there a not a lot. for the most part the SHO nameplate made them more "rare" over the standard taurus. as far as production numbers? theres a few out there but none seem to be completely accurate.

the SHo "Plus" was a "rare" (though production numbers were still healthy on some) option package in 1991 only and consists of the most desired of our kind.
i believe the most rare to be the Mocca/Mocca 91 Plus. with rumored production numbers in the 300's

i was born in georgia and raised by my mama who spent her life in south carolina. i also lived in georgia for three years via the military. you can take the boy out the south, but you'll never take the southern out the boy.
