I am going to need to do the rear LCA bushings soon. I found them locally

here at Autozone.

There is some reference to the taurus wagon, are these correct for the SHO, the look right, but I want to make certain. I have searched, but was unsure of a part number.

Thanks

Those look right, for the outer bushing at the knuckle. The inner are eccentric. Have you thought of using the Ingalls arms from shosource? Complete total alignment adjustment.

I have just had to put a used left rear spindle on my SHO. And I put the adjustables on at that time. Money well spent.

For the inner eccentric bushingshttp://198.208.187.182/internet/PartImage.jsp?mfgname=ACDELCO&prodlinecd=43&acpartnbr=45G11107 those are about 7.45 a piece at RockAuto. These are the right ones, aren't they?

You sure about that? 4 bushings x 5.99 a piece, about 24 bucks and some change, the inner eccentric bushings 4 bushings x 7.45 a piece + shipping ais about another 36 bucks, 60 total, and the control arms are at SHO Source are $165 plus shipping. I am failing to see how close those prices are.

For the cost of the bushings, its about a $100 difference. I appreciate the advice, just can't spend that extra $100 or so dollars. That $100 could go to something else on my SHO.

Yea, the more I think about it... pricing the bushings vs getting those... your almost stupid not to use those adjustables.. :)

Could be correct, kind of hard to tell about the size of the hole. You'll know if the eccentric fits or not. Have you tried to get these bushings locally?? I've never had a problem finding bushings for my Taurus. Especially these.

Is your car in THAT bad of shape???

LoL.. yea those bushings should fall to the bottom of the list if there are other things troubling your SHO. :) I'll sell ya the eccentrics if ya want.. :) Cheap too.. :) Rust free even.. lol

over 100.00? You still have to take them to someone that has a press and press them out then press the new ones in. Id just save a bit longer and spend the 100.00. it will be much eaiser in the long run.

time, gas, the pressing ,favor = more than 100.00

I've done it plenty of times without a press, a looong time ago, when I didn't know any better.

No, not at all. There are some maintenance and mods I want to take care of. I have cam seals leaking, an exhaust leak, and a mysterious coolant leak (which I will know more about by the end of the week, or maybe by next week). When we did my suspension swap, can't remember why we did it, but we ended up taking the rear hubs off my SHO, the rear bushings were heated up and removed from the metal sleeves, and then put back in with a little persuiasion (spelling?), I was advised that I might want to replace the rear LCA bushings soon, inner and outer.

Some mods I want to spend some money on, I already have a catback I want to put on this SHO, but will require some modification, wanting to do my PBR brake upgrade (already have most of the parts), plus a few other little goodies, too.

Is your car in THAT bad of shape???
