Scott they are practically the same, I think I have driven both about the same for milage :)

I like the feel of the cable clutch over the HYD, and shit its been so long I forget but it seems like this one has a lower 1st gear. I know you did all that gear research and you would know better than I.

What the best part of the new axle setup is that I know I can beat the shit out of it, with the welded axles that was proven 3 times that it wouldnt hold up to constant abuse. ( 2 times with my car and the once that yours broke the weld)

If they dont break at the weld then they wont "shouldnt" break under normal SHO owner daily use. Stock axles can be had anwhere and the intermediate shafts are plentyfull (I have about 25) and anyone can post here and get one for cheap money.

Ive been simulating the abuse that it might get by clutch dump after clutch dump and its all working well. there will be plenty of people that wont burn out that much but its better to test it under worst possible conditions.

** Update** the new Aluminium bellhousing adaptor plates will be finished this week, then I can reinstall it and go beat it some more. Only trans difference this time will be the install of a qualifed tranny. I figure if it will hold together through these burnout tests then at the convention whip its ass on the track then they will be ready to install in other cars with some reliablity.

for a while we will do ALL installs here in Mass, there are some tricky parts to getting all this to work right and I want to work on making it easy before kits are available for mail order.

My video camera is charged after being left on the day that I was going to post video, so I should be able to get to it tonight, or as fast as I can get the 3 gens 2's out of my shop that are trying to get ready for Carlisle.

Are you trying to nail down a few last products for the old cars before you are doing nothing for the old ones and 23,000 things for the new one when it arrives ;)

Kirk.. You are the best!! I'd definitely now consider a Gen III if your doing this and your cams aren't welded yet get it done all at once!

True. I'd have to guess I'd be one of the "other" shops installing these. I'll have to do mine first to make sure its viable, proper, and can be repeated with no issues.

thank friggin god, I sure hope you get the chance to! I would love to have a MTX conversion, but shipping a car out to NE would really drive up the cost and make it much less attractive, but a simple drive over from Columbia...... Well that sounds way easier!

yeah but I would be clueless on installing a different transmission. I don't have the facilities or tools to do it either at home in iowa or at school in missouri :(

He was talking about shipping your *CAR* to and from NESHO.

That was pretty funny :munch: But I guess it's a simple mistake so don't worry all :sun: in the neighborhood!

(Where is the video on the website kirk?)

I already mentioned that shipping a car to NE was going to be expensive so I assumed he meant something else. Even very cheap......it's a lot easier and quicker to just drive an hour to St Louis and get it done there, or heck even Chicago for that matter. It's just hard to swallow (the anxiety and the bill) sending your only mode of transportation halfway across the country

I'd like to get one for sure. MY tranny is starting to slip again, damn *************. This is the second one. I still have another tranny at least.
