Ever notice your car sounds like a spaceship when the motor is cold? Suprised how much louder the car is.. almost sounds like my exhaust is leaking again.. lol

I do notice a good bit of difference @ 2-3000 RPM's. Seems to have more TQ there, but it almost feels like it leans out a bit between 3k-secondaries.. Has anyone tried straight tubing up to the throttle body? I wonder if the ridges in the rubber hose cause turbulence that might hinder the velocity of the air at all.

I know people tune exhausts.. makes me wonder if there is anything to be gained from "tuning" an intake. Seems like all you would need is an angled peice cut to length. Anyone know what that angle might be?

Love mine as well. I never noticed any power loss until my cam sensor started to flake out. "S-H-O entering orbit for landing.." "roger that"

Mine isn't too bad because its not in the fender! I just need to seal the housing around the maf and shroud because its just open.. and its SLOW as **** when it hot outside and the engine bay is 200+ Degrees...

I used pipe insulating foam, the rubbery kind, you can get it at Lowes. Sealed my can to the maf great and looks nice too.

Do what I did... drill out a spot so you can stick the sensor outside the engine bay... I had a lot of rust, so making my hole was easy. :)

 Should fix that problem for ya.

So how did it sound when I was pulling away from the light bubba?

And by the way.. next time you try to drive fast in the Monte... pull over to the side a little to let the faster traffic thru. I had to hit the brakes before I got thru second... ;)

I have a shoshop CAI. I don't like how a major portion of the filter is sittin on the inner fender plastic. I think that is what you are talking about. I have wanted to add a 45? in there and add a bigger better filter. Would have to see what kind of cone would fit in there. There is a lip so you "could" fit some type of intercooler coupling on it for another piece of pipe.

I heared the intake more that you mufflers, everything sounds great. much different tone with your car. I love the sound, and that thing really moves some air also

I have the Goodecars CAI from SHOsource; works great, looks nice and sounds great. I also have an extra new one of their plastic "cans" for sale cheap.
