Carbon metallic pads for the rear brakes are neither generally available nor required. The rear brakes just don't have to work very hard to require the high temperature materials. Get good semi-metallic pads.
Carbotech sells CM pads (SHO NUT is a reseller) for the SHO's rear. I run their "street" pad on my 89, not sure if they sell their "panther" track pad in that size.
Only thing about them I don't like is they dust a lot (also run them on the front of my 92 w/ 96 brakes)
Hey Terry, what kind of times did you run at bandimere? I am curious as to what I should expect down here @ a relatively low 4700 ft. (at least compared to your 5800(?)). Our friday night drags start end of this month and I plan to go out there at least a couple times just to see what she'll do, after she's fixed anyways! Have fun!
My times sucked - My best run was 16.6. I didn't realize it at the time, but the car was running extremely lean with the LPM - it dynoed at 177hp/166tq at the wheels - that's lower than what the car made stock 184hp/176tq. I'm going to try and make one of the test and tune nights soon. I'm hoping to be in the high 15's. Still debating NO2 - should be easy to get into the 14's. Man - altitude sucks.
